Physical Description of Persona:
Birigundi stands at around six feet tall with a slender build. His body has almost no fat on it as he is accustomed to nearly constant exercise. His legs and shoulders are muscular, and his skin, which was naturally dark to begin with, is now a very dark shade indeed, the result of turns spent in the sun. His dark hair and eyes made him practically invisible on night runs, save for his flashing white smile.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Though he is accustomed to spending long periods of time alone, he also enjoys the company of others, especially if there is a cup of brew involved. Still, at times the deep caverns of the Weyr make him feel claustrophobic, and the hundreds of people and dragons can be a bit too much. It is times like those when he sneaks away to be alone.

Birigundi is as secretive as any in his chosen profession. He does not share a lot, but he soaks up information like a sponge. Though he is friendly and talkative, there are few he would call close friends. The openness of the Weyr suits him, and he is totally excepting of different ideas from those outside the Weyr.

History of Persona:
Birigundi was born at a small runner's station almost exactly between Amethyst Cliff Hold and the Weyr to the Station Master and his wife. While he was still a young boy his father died of a fever caught while personally delivering an urgent message in the dead of winter. To support herself and her young son, his mother continued at the station as the Mistress of the tavern. As a result, Birigundi grew up around all manner of people and ideas. He developed a desire to see the world at a very early age.

The new Station Master was kind to Birigundi and his mother. Knowing how much he longed to travel, the Station Master would sometimes take him along on trips. It was on one of those trips that the young Birigundi first saw a dragon up close. He pestered the dragon's rider for information on all the places they had been and seen. The boy envied their ease of travel.

When he was old enough, Birigundi started running messages officially. He would especially request runs that would bring him into contact with dragonriders in the hopes that he would someday be asked to stand at a Hatching. His hope was realized at the age of 16 when he was finally Searched.

Though he has stood at many Hatchings, Birigundi has not lost hope that someday he will have a dragon of his very own to fly him anywhere on Pern he wants to go. Meanwhile, his love of women has given his life an unexpected turn. A one-night stand with a kitchen drudge has resulted in pregnancy, only to be followed a few months later by another surprise when the girl he had been comforting also turned up pregnant. Caught between two women, Birigundi was going to have to find a way to balance not only two children, but their mothers as well...
Not wanting to upset Nialyn, Birigundi put off telling her about his other child until it was almost time for the baby to be born. Nialyn could not forgive him for keeping it from or, and could not reconcile his sleeping with other women and ended their relationship. Rigella gave birth to a baby boy, but the child died within days of his birth. Birigundi has stayed a part of Lyndi's life, but his relationship has become complicated now that Nialyn is Weyrmated, and he is forced to accept that his former lover, and his precious daughter, have another man in their lives...

Though she is well trained, Leaf has been known to get into mischief from time to time. Most of the time she enjoys spending time with her larger cousins lounging in the sun or splashing in the water, though she also loves flirting with the other firelizards in the area.
