Physical Description of Persona:
He's about 6ft1, lean and well muscled with short blackish brown hair. He's handsome with blue eyes and a very charming smile. He tans easily but rarely tries for one. He's has a variety of small scars across his body, most notibly his hands that he accumulated over the years he grew up at sea.

Emotional Description of Persona:
He has two sides, what everyone else sees, and the real him. On the outside he's easygoing, up for a good time, and always ready to joke around. The type of person you'd want to hang around with. On the inside he's wary and distrustful. To him, everyone has a motive for everything they do and he has to be able to outthink them to protect himself. Friends and lovers only use you until they find someone better, so he has none close and always gets rid of them first before they can get rid of him.

History of Persona:
He was raised by his uncle on a ship called the Grey Gale. It was more of a smuggling ship than a cargo vessel, but it did it's job to stay out of notice. They traveled mostly the Northern waters, but would travel South as business dictated, so he knew all the coastlines and currents by twelve. His uncle and the other members of the crew taught him early that there are two types of people in the world; the 'players' and the 'played'. You were either taken advantage of and used or you were the one who took advantage of their weakness. That thought was what guided his moral qualms about theiving and smuggling as he grew up.

During one of their trips South, they docked at a Hold that was being visited by a Searchdragon. Upon the green discovering a liking to him, the dragonman wove a compelling tale of adventure, high status, and the ability to do whatever he wanted. His uncle liked the idea of one of his 'family' having the ability to transport good and people anywhere on the planet, so he let him go to the hatching. He didn't disappoint, and Impressed a bronze on the first try.

Life and sensibility of a Weyr was so very different from what he'd experienced aboard the Grey Gale, that it had an effect on him. In the two turns he was away from his family, he'd grown to have several friends and he even fell secretly in love with a goldrider who had impressed in the clutch after him. When his uncle sent him a message to meet, he'd ignored it, deciding that he wanted to be a different person, a better person that someone could love. He followed his goldrider North when they reopened the Weyrs, and made Wingsecond due to his hard work and dedication on preparing for the start of Thread.

Eventually, he won the heart of the goldrider, and he was happy- until he found out that she was only using him to make the Weyrleader jealous. His heart was broken. When another letter came from his uncle he answered it, deciding that friends, love, and hard work didn't make you a better person, just a 'played' person. And he vowed to never be that type of person again.

He did jobs for his uncle for about a turn, but then questions started to be asked and rumors got traded around. Before things got too hot, he was approved for a wingrider transfer to the South and disappeared from everyone's memory in the North. Thread started falling soon after which left little time for more than the odd jobs for his family, but he never forgot his vow to always be the 'player' and not the 'played'.
