Physical Description of Persona:
Standing at only 5'8", Gromis weighs in at well over two hundred pounds. Though aware that he is a bit more than "heavy," he is happy with himself. His dark brown hair is kept well-trimmed, and his brown eyes are usually twinkling in laughter.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Gromis is a survivor. Throughout his nineteen turns, he has endured barbs about his weight, yet laughs them off. He is a good listener, friendly to all those around him, though he hides a deep-seated sense of loneliness.

History of Persona:
Born at Dolphin Cove Weyr of a cook and a dragonrider, Gromis's childhood was typical of most weyrbrats. He performed his chores diligently, yet played just as hard, spending most of his time with his many siblings and half-siblings.

Gromis enjoyed exploring rhythms from an early age. As entertainment for himself and the other weyrbrats, he'd clap out the syllables in his friend's names, then create variations on them. He also excelled at playing most instruments and was passably good at singing. In his other studies, he showed exceptional interest in history, able to retain even the most trivial facts.

Though he expected to Impress, he apprenticed as a harper, quickly learning from the Weyrharper and his journeymen. After several trips to the sands, he realized that he might never find a dragon of his own, and needed a new plan for his life -- just in case. He decided that if not a dragonrider, he'd be a harper -- but only the best harper. He requested permission to relocate to the Harper Hall. However, not the northern Hall associated with the Weyrs, but the southern one with the climate most like his home. His dream of impressing was set aside as he threw himself into his studies, working toward someday achieving his mastery.
