Physical Description of Persona:
Graceful is best description one could imagine for Larken. She is tall and slender, and moves almost effortlessly. Her dark brown hair falls halfway down her back, and when worn down, flows around her. One would almost think they could find secrets hidden behind her vibrant blue eyes and curving smile if they weren't so friendly and open.

Emotional Description of Persona:
She was raised to be a traditional Southern woman, and has lived the life with no questions and no qualms. There is very little in her life that she could claim to regret or lack, and yet, something deep inside her is longing to be free. Over the turns she has come to realise, and has chosen to ignore, a fire that lies deep within her that runs contrary to the perfect image she has tried to fit. It was easy to just be content to be a harper's wife, but now the Harper Hall has moved to a place foreign to her. In the Weyr she is surrounded by men and women with her same passion for life who are not inhibited in anyway to follow their heart desires. For the first time in her life, she is starting to question her place in the world.

History of Persona:
Though she was born while her father was on a journeyman assignment, the only home Larken could remember was the Harper Hall. There she was raised to be a proper young woman, fit to be a crafter's wife. Though curious and energetic in her youth, she understood what was expected for her future life and had no objections.

As a specialist in instrumental music, her father had been involved with several ensambles over the turns, several of which involved another instrumentalist of his same age, a widower named Ojisan. Over the turns they spent hours together discussing life and their craft. Her father urged his friend to find a new wife, and would often joke that if the man had not found a new wife by the time his youngest daughter came of age he would marry her to him.

They both took joking all in stride, until it became apparent to Ojisan that young Larken was growing into a beautiful and lively young woman. He kept his thoughts to himself until her father confided in him that he was looking for a suitable husband for the young woman. Finally Ojisan found the courage to brouch the subject to his friend and asked if he might be considered as a possible match.

Larken had known the older man since she was a girl and could honestly admit to being fond of him. Though she held private reservations about the age difference between them, she had no objections and soon agreed to the marriage. Since her seventeenth turn she has been content as Ojisan's wife. Her life is comfortable and she considers herself lucky to have such a kind and attentive husband. Though she loves him in a way, she knows it is not the deep feeling her husband feels for her. Her mother always assured her that it would come in time.

At the age of twenty-two turns, all their lives changed when the Harper Hall was burned down by arsonists. Now they have moved to the Weyr, a place with a lifestyle completely foreign to the young woman, and yet appealing. It has served to help her to take another look at her life and what it means to be a southern woman.
