Physical Description of Persona:
Miralani is tall for a woman and curvy, her youthful slenderness lost after giving birth to three children. Her dark hair is curly and long, and usually kept pulled back from her face but left free to tumble down her back. Her eyes are dark blue and very expressive--unfortunately they're usually expressing annoyance or condescension. She wears expensive and carefully tailored clothing, always careful about the image she presents to those around her.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Miralani is a young woman who has no problems telling those around her exactly what she thinks they need to be doing. She may believe fully in many of the southern traditions about a woman's place, but she also believes the converse: that men have no place running a household and should stick to crafting and running holds.

Considering her strong ideas, it surprises many that Miralani almost never loses her temper. Overbearing men, irate stewards, upset headwoman and sobbing kitchen drudges are all met with the same cool stare and lifted eyebrow, and it has become obvious over the turns that Miralani is intimidated by no one. Luckily for her family and her first husband, Miralani is perfectly content to confine her influence to things it is proper for a good wife to take an interest in--it's just her methods of 'taking an interest' that might be a bit unorthodox.

History of Persona:
Miralani was born the third child and only daughter of Mirishek and Kavalani, well off Minor Holders in Garnet Valley Territory. Her father's death when she was five left her eldest brother, Kavalek, in charge of the Hold and her future. Luckily for Miralani, her older brothers doted on her. In spite of the hard times around her, as her brothers struggled to return their holding to the glory it had known before the plague, Miralani grew up wanting for nothing. Her brothers spoiled her, allowing her to do exactly as she pleased most of the time. Her mother, however, had strict ideas about a woman's place and didn't hesitate to pass these prejudices on to her daughter.

Unlike some high-spirited women, Miralani had no reservations about marriage. She started pestering her elder brother on the subject at the tender age of fifteen, wanting more than anything a household that she could arrange to her own liking--and a husband who would dote on her and buy her pretty things. Her exalted opinion of who was good enough for led her to refuse the first two men who offered, but just before her seventeenth turn, Miralani found the man she wanted to marry.

Chavan was thirty-seven and still handsome, with a fine holding and enough wealth to satisfy Miralani's taste for fine things. Affection for his property soon became affection for the man himself, and by the time she gave birth to their first daughter, Miralani was deliriously happy.

Two more daughters followed before tragedy ended Miralani's blissful marriage. A runner accident took her husband from her, and Miralani found herself a guest in a Hold that she and her daughters could never inherit.

The Hold went to her husband's cousin, and though both he and his wife made it more than clear that she was welcome, Miralani had no intention of staying in a place where she was not the undisputed ruler of all domestic issues.

After arriving at Garnet Valley, she quickly decided it was time to do her duty to help her brother gain influence, and selected nearby Hallmaster Daynar as her victim. After charming him into agreeing to offer her brother a healthy number of trade agreements, Miralani agreed to marry him.
