Physical Description of Persona:
He’s a tall man, though not particularly broad. He has messy light brown hair and warm brown eyes, and his features are rather sharper than would be considered traditionally handsome. He has the kind of face that looks familiar but not remarkable, and that and his quiet demeanor tend to make him fade into the background.

Emotional Description of Persona:
J’heal has never been someone who overly drew attention to himself. He had a wide circle of friends but he was never the center of attention, never the one calling the shots, never the trouble maker. He has always sought to do the right thing, the responsible thing. He didn’t want to go into candidacy for the glory and the prestige- he wanted to do it because it seemed to him a noble calling. His family was surprised and a little disappointed when he Impressed, but he took to dragonriding with the same studious determination he applied to everything else. In the Turns since he’s Impressed, he’s done well, but not remarkable. He’s best described as steady and dependable.

History of Persona:
Jahael was born to a family of beastcrafters. They were proud of the work they did, and most of his family followed in his parents’ footsteps, including the young Jahael. Things changed when Thread began to fall, however. Not long after the first ‘fall of the pass, a searchrider came through and pegged Jahael and one of his siblings as eligible to go to the Weyr to become candidates if they wished. His parents weren’t in favor of this- they stressed that supporting the Weyr with supplies was important as well, that feeding the Weyr was as important as a single dragonrider. Really, they were afraid for their children.

Despite their misgivings, Jahael had headed for the Weyr- he reasoned that if no dragon chose him, he could just go home again, but if there was a hatchling waiting for him, he would be doing a disservice by not being there.

At his first hatching, almost the first egg, a lovely dark blue dragon marched right up and chose him and he became J’hael. They’ve done well in the time between, avoiding serious injuries and dedicating themselves to the protection of Pern.

Serolth is a deep, dark blue with no markings to speak of, in dim light he looks almost black, though in sunlight he shines like deep ocean water.

Dragon personality: Serolth is enthusiastic. He throws himself into everything he does with all of his determination. He’s prone to strong emotions- he’s never sad, he’s despairing, he’s never cheerful, he’s elated. It makes him a good match for his rider, pushing him when he would retreat, but likewise his rider’s calm attitude tempers his emotions.
