Physical Description of Persona:
Rushil is lanky and tall, with a smattering of acne across his cheeks. He has dark hair and eyes, and he is well built from a lifetime of farm work and training. He has a large scar on his right arm from a threshing accident, and a scar along his jawline that his mother says he got when he tripped as a tot, but he's fairly certain she's lying.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Rushil always knew his family was strange, but is only now learning how strange. He doesn't really know how to relate to the people he encounters and spends a lot of time worrying about making mistakes. As a result he tends to come off as a bit weird, albeit friendly and outgoing with his peers. He is mistrustful of most authority figures, especially Harpers, and is paranoid about things like food that is all mushed up together (they'll put mind control herbs in it) or warm drinks (makes you sick). He enjoys physical activities like climbing, archery and sword fighting over more intellectual pursuits, and can be quite compeditive. He misses his brothers and cousin a lot and would like to know how to connect better with others, but finds it hard.

History of Persona:
Rushil is the second of three sons born to Tespillia, a cotholder with a small holding near Virdan Mining Cothold, which has resumed mining a seam of coal that was abandoned with the Plague. Rushil doesn't remember his father and Tespillia raised her sons with the help of her friend Perspine. Although it was unusual for two widowed women to cothold together, they worked hard, kept up their tithes and were left alone. They mostly supply food from the farm and orchards to the Mining Hold.

Tespillia was prone to fits of delusion throughout Rishul's childhood. She has raised her boys to believe that their absent father is of the Blood and that Rishul's eldest brother will soon come into his mysterious inheritance. She has written extensively to the Lord Holder of Amber Hills Hold about the matter, to no avail. She is prone to paranoia, and she and her sons spent many nights guarding their cothold from bandits, wildcats and evil dragonmen who never appeared. She didn't trust Harpers and educated her children herself. Her sons can read, write and do their sums, but have a shaky understanding (at best) of history, law and music.

Perspine and Tespillia were close and shared many of their strange ideas. Perspine had a son named Pernin, and because Pernin and Rishul were close in age they became best of friends. When Rishul was ten, Pernin disappeared, and Perspine fell into a deep depression that she's never really recovered from. Tespillia is convinced that Pernin was kidnapped by evil Harpers who want to end their Bloodline. Rushil spent many turns looking for his cousin, often disappearing for sevendays at a time to spy on neighbouring cots and the men at Virdan Mine. Gradually his dreams of rescuing his cousin have died.

Now that the boys are older, Tespillia's strange ideas have shifted from external threats to securing her childrens' futures. She is actively looking for prestigious positions and marriages for her sons. To advance this, she walked her two eldest sons to Amber Hills Hold, however on the way Rushil was Searched-- much to his mother's delight and his own bewilderment. This, however, has proved to be the perfect opportunity to escape from his mother and make his own way in the world.

In month 8 of Turn 10 of the Pass, Ruhil Impressed Dath and became R'hil.
