Physical Description of Persona:
Arrilon is tall and thin, with light brown hair and dark brown eyes. His skin has a nice tan, due to the time he spends outside, and when he neglects to shave for several days, his stubble has some red in it.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Arrilon has a rather quiet personality. That's not to say that he's quiet or shy, but that he often allows himself to fade into the background in large groups, or when with a dominant personality, like his younger sister. One-on-one, or when put in a leadership position, he will step up and be friendly and inquisitive, with a sarcastic side that emerges when he feels at ease with a person. In fact, he seeks out opportunities to spend time with others individually and to help those that need it.

Arrilon likes to make a decision and stick to it, and finds it difficult to change his mind. He is still a bit bitter after Turns of Standing at Hatchings and not Impressing, in part because the decision to become a dragonrider was taken from him. However, walking the tables to Journeyman and his transfer to the Harper Hall being accepted has given him a newfound confidence in his own abilities and hope for the future.

History of Persona:
Arrilon was born to a large family just outside of Amber Hills Hold. When he was 17, he and his younger sister, Kamalia, were Searched and brought to Dragonsfall Weyr. Arrilon had always been drawn to the harpers stationed at the Hold and had some musical and artistic talent, so after not Impressing at his first Hatching, he became an apprentice and began studying under one of the harpers at the Weyr. The excitement of each Hatching, followed by the disappointment of not Impressing, was hard on Arrilon. When he was 19, his sister Impressed green Alaudath, and seeing her thrive as a weyrling made him more desperate to become a dragonrider as well. When the call came for Candidates for a Hatching at Dolphin Cove Weyr, he decided to go, but his luck never changed.

Finally, he had to abandon his dreams of Impression and chose to devote himself to his studies as a Harper. Several Turns studying full time have done wonders for Arrilon's mental health. He has a pleasant baritone voice and some aptitude for art, and has become increasingly interested in the archives and in teaching.

At the age of 24, he first met Chalzie and then walked the tables. Their relationship lasted just over a Turn, and he hoped it would lead to marriage. However, Chalzie was not ready for that kind of commitment and, when his transfer to the Harper Hall for more advanced training was accepted, she broke up with him.

On m10 d1 of Turn 10, Arrilon arrived a the Harper Hall. He has found it somewhat difficult to get used to Hall life but is finding being surrounded by harpers exhilarating.

Joy, Green Firelizard: aged 2, hatched m10 d7
Arrilon's sister, Kamalia, gifted him a firelizard egg for his birthingday, which hatched a green. Joy is a dark green color and, now that she has finished growing, is almost the size of a small blue. She loves playing in the water and has a fascination for dragons, particularly greens. She is very affectionate and does her best to distract Arrilon when his thoughts turn negative. He has tried training her to send messages, but so far she only goes to Kamalia and Chalzie.
