Physical Description of Persona:
At about 5'10", Navan stands head and shoulders above his little sister, having gotten his father's height. Despite being under six feet, Navan's solid, muscular build and broad shoulders make him look even bigger than he is. He's good-looking but not exceptional with an oval face, a slender, almost aquiline nose and very dark brown, almost black eyes. He has the same light brown skin as Teiluka and jet black hair cropped close to his head to prevent the curliness from getting out of control.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Navan, to put it simply, is a charmer. Friendly and outgoing with a warm, though occasionally sarcastic sense of humor, Navan is extremely easy to get along with, something he in fact prides himself on. From Turns of being around his little sister, Navan is good at drawing people out of their shells and enjoys talking to anyone and everyone. At heart, he's a student of people and nothing makes him happier than making new friends out of strangers. He's a smooth talker as one might imagine but not truly a playboy. Navan takes things as they come and while he has a hard time seeing himself in a monogamous relationship, he values his interactions and has never been one to disregard someone's feelings. He tries to make it clear from the beginning that he's not the relationship type so that no one gets hurt. Navan is also not one to care if his bedmate is male or female, being equally attracted to both. However, he does have the big brother complex. He needs to take care of and watch over those he cares about and this can mean poking his nose where, as Luka likes to remind him, it doesn't belong.

History of Persona:
Navan was the oldest of nine born to journeyman Healer Nyvran, and his wife, Valena. As oldest of such a large family, it was natural for Navan to fall into the role of third parent and learned responsibility early on. He was close to his slightly younger sister, Teiluka. The two made a bit of an odd pair, with Navan being nearly twice Luka's size but they got along well and tended to help with watching the little ones. When Navan was ten, an earthquake destroyed Thayan Weyrhold and though he and his family escape intact and moved to the newly reopened Dolphin Cove Weyr, the loss of friends hurt Navan. Thanks to support from his family and new friends, he eventually moved on. It didn't surprise anyone when Navan followed in his father's footsteps and apprenticed to the Healercraft when he turned 12. A good student despite his social butterfly nature, Navan did well for the next six Turns, eventually making junior Journeyman. Working at the Weyr gave Navan first hand experience with the damage that Threadfall could cause to both man and beast and shortly after being promoted, he decided that despite being quite a bit older than most candidates, he wanted to Stand. To Navan's mind, at least that'll be perhaps one more pair to add to the wings with the danger so high of losing riders and dragons. For the past Two turns, he has been a candidate while there are eggs on the Sands and devoted himself to his craft when there aren't. With only one Turn left before he's too old, Navan hopes to Impress but knows that it's equally likely that he won't.
