Physical Description of Persona:
Misara is of medium height, standing approximately five foot five tall. She has dark brown hair, which is braided tightly, sometimes hanging down her back and sometimes curled around her head, depending on the weather and her chores for the day.
She has dark brown eyes, deeply set which gives her a haunted look. Her nose is short and well shaped, curving delicately and coming to a small, sharp point. It is covered with freckles, though she doesn't spend much time outside.
She is narrow through the waist, but her hips and upper torso are decidedly womanly. She has a fine figure for an older woman who has born three children.
Emotional Description of Persona:
Misara has always been a confident woman, though the last turn has seen her become more circumspect around others. She has love in excess for her three children and will do whatever it takes to provide for, and protect, them.
History of Persona:
Misara grew up in the South, her father a fully qualified senior journeyman Vintner, her mother unqualified but experienced after turns of helping her husband. The majority of Misara's family had served the Vintner craft for generations, with the occasional sibling Impressing and a stray here and there working outside of the family craft.
Because of the ban on female crafters in the Southern crafthall, Misara was forced to move to the North to do her crafting. Though she missed her family, the animosity shown to her whenever she visited the south, gave her good reason to remain in the north.
She was more interested in her craft than a family of her own, until she met Treast - another Vintner. Treast's family had been to the Northern Vinter Hall, what Misara's family were to the Southern; they saw it as a common thread. They married within a few months of meeting; but while she was pregnant with their first child, Misara had word of family problems in the south. Treast agreed to move to the South, and a position was found for him at a Tavern in one of the minor holds.
A rough crossing brought Misara's labour on early, so when they finally arrived in the South, she was too busy with their daughter to practice her craft - or even make known she was a senior journeywoman, herself - the attitude of the Southern Holders did nothing to dissuade her she was wrong in this regard. Treast applied for and was granted tenure of the Hold's Tavern, and the little family settled in well.
She fell pregnant again within a Turn, but miscarried. It seemed the more successful they were in the Tavern, the less successful she was bearing children, when she suffered a further two miscarriages before their first son was born alive and healthy. They were robbed twice by the Holdless that turn, those who had begun to appear since Thread had once again begun to rain down on them.
Another two Turns, and one stillborn son later, she gave birth to their last child, a healthy girl. But by then, things had taken a turn for the worse as far as the Tavern was concerned. As well as further robberies at the Tavern, Treast was attacked twice when delivering their takings and produce to the main Hold. The second attack left him and two guards dead and dying on the track to the Hold.
In shock and despair, Misara made no protest when the Holder installed another journeyman and his family in the Tavern, and moved Misara and her children to a cot within the Hold's grounds. When she finally came out of her shock induced stupor, the significance of her loss overwhelmed her. Misara packed their meagre belongings into carrisacs and dressed her children in as many clothes as it would be comfortable to walk in, before leaving the Hold for good.
After two sevendays of walking, and begged cart rides, the little group reached Amber Hills Vintner Hall. The sight of the small Tavern attached to the Hall drew her attention, something warm and comfortingly familiar about the small building, drew her in.
For now, she is quite content to settle her children into their new home and just be an insignificant Tavern worker. She has no intention of revealing her craft qualifications to anyone, least of all the Hallmaster, until she is sure of her reception within the Hall. The idea of travelling back to the Northern Hall has occurred to her, but with three children to care for, she sees little chance of that happening, any time soon.
