Physical Description of Persona:
Tayette has short dark auburn hair, with red highlights flashing through when she is in the sun. Her hair now has a smattering of grey at the temples, but it blends in well.

Her eyes are a mottled greenish/grey, unusual but not uncommon. Her complexion is pale and her skin lined now from turns spent inside and at the mercy of her husband.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Tayette is reserved to the extreme. She has been downtrodden for turns and has no self confidence at all. She has flashes of brightness that confuse people, her natural openness of turns gone by trying to re-emerge.

No one would pick her for the bright young girl of twenty five turns before, who had every man in the surrounding area knocking at her parents door.

History of Persona:
Tayette grew up in a busy little cot hold, with many families living and working together. Herd beasts of every description surrounded the cot and everyone worked hard for the tithing.

Tayette was a popular young woman - attractive and outgoing, full of life and laughter; and many vied for her attentions as she developed.

She finally chose, Karvea as her handfasting partner, and was happy for the first two turns of marriage. Neither were overly concerned that she hadn't conceived, happy enough being together.

When she finally conceived, she lost the child within the first trimester. She conceived a second time, and again lost the child, this time by the middle of the second trimester. After the seventh miscarriage, Tayette's marriage had faltered.

The pitying looks her husband received from the folk in the cot hold embarrassing and later angering him. Finally, he decided to move both him and Tayette closer to the main Hold, but Tayette was now his 'sister' not his wife; and a younger woman replaced Tayette in her husbands bed.

For fifteen years, Karvea and his new wife treated Tayette as no more than a slave in the cot. If she so much as answered them back or didn't jump to their orders, Karvea would beat her almost to unconscious. She was considered no more than a worthless drudge, after all she couldn't produce and had no training for anything else, what more could she be useful for?

When her husbands oldest son tried to rape her, that was enough for the woman. She fought the stronger teenager off - just - and took off across the fields into the surrounding land, not even sure where she was heading.

She arrived thin, exhausted and almost catatonic at the Vintner Hall, where the truth of her life was hidden for turns, until an old neighbour from the cot hold came visiting his Vintner apprentice son, and the gossip started.

What little self confidence Tayette had begun to develop was almost rendered asunder - almost.
