Physical Description of Persona:
Natiya is a tired looking woman who life has obviously been hard on. Having survived giving birth to nine children over a span of nineteen turns, she has long since lost any remnants of her youthful figure. Her long brown hair is kept in a plain, utilitarian knot, which is not always flattering for her strongly angled face and slightly tilted green eyes. There is a pain in her eyes and the set of her jaw that hasn't faded even in though her life has become far less difficult in recent months.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Life has worn Natiya down, but it hasn't broken her. In spite of harsh treatment, perpetual pregnancy and constant illness, Natiya has retained a strong sense of self and stubbornness that no amount of harsh treatment could erase. For twenty turns she did her best to protect her children from her husband's harsh treatment by taking it upon herself.

Now that she is suddenly free of his restrictive presence, Natiya is determined to help her children recover from the harm she couldn't protect them from. Her greatest pride is her eldest son, and she is determined to help him make his father's Hold flourish by whatever means necessary.

History of Persona:
Natiya was orphaned by the plague before she was old enough to even know her parents, and raised by a distant uncle and aunt who didn't much care for the additional burden of another child when life was already so hard. Her only other family was a brother who was nearly fourteen Turns her senior, and had already Impressed a blue dragon by the time she was born. His 'unnatural' affection for men had gotten him all but disowned by his very conservative family, and Natiya didn't even know he existed until she was nearly fourteen.

At sixteen she was married to Otone, a forty-one Turn old minor holder who had recently inherited from his father and was looking for someone to take care of his new hold. Otone was a simple, ignorant man with a taste for luxury and cruelty. He hated the fact that Natiya was never appropriately submissive to him, and hated even more that she was never openly rebellious enough to make any sort of _real_ punishment socially acceptable.

For most of their marriage Otone kept Natiya pregnant with a long succession of children, while he entertained himself with whatever young cotholder's daughter didn't dare deny him. Though she suffered a great deal from illness related to her exhaustion and ill-treatment, Natiya did her best to give her children enough love to make up for their father's inadequacies.

Now that her husband has been sent to the mines, Natiya is struggling to adjust to her sudden freedom. For now she has time to do little but help her son try to undo the damage Otone did to his hold, and try her best to help her children get past their difficult childhood. Sometimes in her spare moments Natiya considers the possibility of finding a man to give her the sort of love that Otone never did, but she is determined that no man will ever be a part of her life if he won't also be an asset to her children.
