Physical Description of Persona:
P'yke has short, darkish blond hair that tends to get sun-bleached highlights. He is 5-foot-10, with a lithe and neatly defined body that shows average physical development for someone his age. Despite having been a dragonrider for seven-plus Turns now, his body hasn't taken on the muscular solidness stereotypically associated with being a rider.

Emotional Description of Persona:
P'yke is quite, reserved, well mannered, friendly, and very reliable. These are attributes that Delrisa drilled into all six of her children, but he takes it a step further because he is naturally shy -- a shyness that maturity and Impression have only marginally mitigated. He prefers to be one of the many rather than the one in the spotlight. This was born of a feeling he always had of being different -- the odd man out; a feeling confirmed by his Impressing a green dragon.

History of Persona:
P'yke, originally Phenykel, is the third of six sons born to ordinary hold residents / farm workers at Emerald Falls Hold. He had a normal childhood growing up there, doing his best to play *catch-up* with his older brothers. He was brighter than them, learning quicker, and better than them at games and sports, but rather than excelling at them he would hold himself back, uncomfortable with the attention.

When he was twelve, he was recommended for an apprenticeship as a harper -- the first craft apprenticeship in his family in recent memory. He was reluctant to take it -- the attention of doing something different from his brothers made him uncomfortable, but finally did so with his mother's encouragement.

Less than a Turn later he was Search by Dolphin Cove Weyr, and again he was the odd man out and he hated it. Normal and ordinary, words some would consider boring, were the only things he longed for. He was actually relieved when he didn't Impress during his first time on the Sands. The second time, though, he Impressed Wellanth -- a green dragon. Normal? No. Ordinary? Not really. But he is happy that can fade into the background among a sea of other greenriders.

His youngest brother -- Teleyn -- was born the same day as Wellanth was hatched. Delrisa had wanted to go to the Weyr for the hatching -- insisted on it would be a better term -- but she went into labor a couple of candlemarks before word came that the eggs were hatching. P'yke likes to tell Teleyn and Wellanth that each "hatched" at the exact same moment -- a small exaggeration.

Four Turns after Impressing Wellanth, P'yke received a firelizard egg as a belated birthingday gift from a friend at the Weyr. It turned out to contain a dark brown firelizard, which he named Welke -- a combination of Wellanth's name and P'yke's.

Description of Dragon:
Wellanth is an average sized green with slightly higher than average stamina. Her hide is a medium green fading to a three or four shades-lighter green on her wings and belly. Like her rider, she is quiet and slightly less social than an average green.
