Physical Description of Persona:
Cerran stands at 5'11, about average height and weighs in at 83 kgs. Cerran has broad shoulders, a wide chest, lean hips and long, sturdy limbs. He has the kind of sturdy, well muscled body and the visible strenght of a guy who's worked with large animals most of his life.

His hair is something he good-naturedly complains about being on the shaggy side it just brushes the nap of his neck and is a bright copper red. His skin is the kind of milky, ruddy cheeked type that redheads seem to manage, he doesn't freckle, but he does burn and peel. His eyes are probably his best feature being large and almond shaped: they are a deep blue under straight copper eyebrows.

His face isn't too bad looking, with his eyes dominating, his cheekbones are high, a long nose (but not too long, it fits his face) and firm, lean jaw line. He has a slight dimple in his chin and nicely shaped lips. He has a small scar going from his right earlobe to to his jaw line.

He tends to carry himself with a kind of casual, laziness. He appears comfortable with himself and his environment. These traits tend to make people feel comfortable around him and with him.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Cerran is a pretty laid back, casual sort of guy. He even comes across as lazy as he never seems to be in any hurry to be anywhere or do anything. Cerran is a people person and an animal lover, liking the company of both. He even has a peculiar habit of talking to and joking with animals the same way he does with people.

You can tell straight away that Cerran comes from a male dominated family. It's there in his lazy confidence and in the comfortable, easy way he has around other males and with himself. It's there in his healthy compeditiveness and drive.

However those that think he's lazy would be quite wrong. It is true that he does things in his own way, his own time and at his own pace but he is a hard worker. He prefers to be working hard and getting a job done then sitting around idle. He tends to give himself 100% to what he's doing and he expects anybody working with him or under him to do the same. He tends to like doing hard, physical tasks so he can see the physical results.

Cerran also defies redhead stereotypes. Displays of temper are very rare and far between. He tends to like to reason and talk his way out of things. He tends to be the peacemaker in the room as he hates fighting of any kind. But on the rare occasian that he does loose his temper it is fiery, but brief. He's not a person that hold grudges so all is forgiven usually.

If he has a downside its based on is pride. Cerran is one of these guys that does not like to ask for help or admit he needs it. He doesn't like anybody to be offering help either. Very rarely and extremly grudgingly will you ever find him doing any of these things.

Another way he has a problem and he would sooner die then admit this, he is deathly afraid of heights.

Also thanks to a little sister he tends to be very protective off the girls and can tend to treat them like little sisters. THis can either come across as charming or annoying.

History of Persona:
Cerran was the third child born out of five to a journeyman beastcrafter and his wife situated at Emerald Falls Hold.

Cerran was brought up in the typical noisy, loving atmosphere for a large, male dominated family. His interest in animals and in the beastcraft came quite early and weren't surprises to anybody. At the age of 12 he decided to apprentice to the beasthealers, as he interests lay more in this direction. By special request, like his brothers, he was given permission to train under his uncle the family beasthealer.

It was apparent very early into his apprenticeship that he'd made the right choice. Cerran loved working with animals, particuarly the larger ones and he loved helping out the sick or injured ones. As he progressed through to his senior apprenticeship turns he stayed in this area and quickly gained a reputation for being very good at working with the larger animals. He had a soothing, comforting effect on hurt or injured animls, a trait that also worked well with humans.

During these turns his second oldest brother was Searched for a clutch at Dolphin Cove Weyr and successfull Impressed a blue. Also during those turns his father was killed when a bull he was working with turned on him and killed him. Cerran and his entire family was affected by this tragedy and to this day Cerran still misses and mourns his father.

However his 18th turn rolled around with more positive events. He walked the tables and graduated gaining his junior journeyman knots. He was also given a flit egg as a graduation present by his proud family. The egg hatched to reveal a handsome little pale blue flit he chose to call Sky.

The next positive event came when his dragonrider brother, now training as a dragonhealer invited his brother to come and visit him. During the visit he realised he liked life at the weyr and chose to stay on as a beasthealer. He was even further surprised to find out that as he was now a resident at the Weyr he could stand as a Candidate. Jumping at the chance to perhaps Impress a dragon, he is choosing to stand and have a go. Who knows, maybe he will be luck and be worthy of a dragon? He likes to think so.

Description of Dragon:
Although he's only a hatchling so far Shilath is good sized for his colour showing the promise that one day he'll likely be a good sized sturdy brown. In terms of colour he's the light gold-brown of sand and it has a slight sheen to it in direct sunlight making for quite a handsome dragon.

In terms of personality he's quite a thoughtful, steady and laid-back dragon. The laid back part of his personality mirrors his lifemate's.

Pets

Sky, Blue Firelizard: aged 10, hatched m3 d2
Sky is quite a small, slender flit but he's well proportioned. In terms of colour his name says it all he's a pale sky blue with navy blue shading to his wings and tail.

In terms of personality he's quite a calm, steady blue flit. He is fiercly loyal to Cerran and is never far away.
