Physical Description of Persona:
Orlan looks a lot like his father, well tanned and lean. His hair could be described as either black or brown depending on who you asked. He gained several inches with his first growth spurt and looks to reach a decent height when all is said and done.

Emotional Description of Persona:
The boy who started out carefree has turned into a brooding adolescent. His father's emotional retreat after his mother's death hurt the grieving son and he never really recovered from it. He occasionally acts out his frustrations in class, and secretly hopes that his father will finally start to pay attention to him if he is disruptive enough.

History of Persona:
Orlan was born in the North to Orana a harper and her husband Mosler a dolphineer. When Orlan was 5 turns old his mother was killed in a rock slide, leaving him to be raised by his father. Mosler had a hard dealing with his wife's death and pushed Orlan away, leaving the boy to be raised by pretty much everyone but his father. Orlan's life was turned upside down again when his father decided to move them to the Southern continent and the Dolphin Hall down there. Over the turns Mosler and Orlan developed a somewhat distant relationship, neither one knowing how to bridge the gap that seemed to separate them. Orlan apprenticed to the Dolphin Hall as soon as he turned 12 turns in the hope of gaining his father's love and approval, but it didn't bring them any closer. The Hall's move so close to the Weyr has given Orlan more opportunities to see dragons up close, and he's started to entertain ideas of what it would be like to have a dragon partner that will love him unconditionally and forever.

Defying his father Orlan has fled to the Weyr in hopes of finding his lifemate. So far he's been unlucky but the desire to try agian, as well as fears that he won't be welcome to return to the Hall keep him in the Weyr.
