Physical Description of Persona:
Khalida is an attractive young woman, at least to those with more exotic tastes. Her skin is dark, like fresh-brewed klah and her hair is a shade darker than that with bits of brown highlighted by her life in the sun. Her eyes are a vibrant green, somewhere between jade and emerald. She's slender, yet muscled from her life on the road and stands at a moderate height of 5'6" weighing in at about 147 pounds.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Khalida is a paradox of opposites. She can be horribly consumed with the finer things in life, such as nice clothes and jewelry, and then hold philosophical conversations and take time to give advice to others. Being one of many children, she's possessive over the things she owns, but won't hesistate to help someone in need. She's a wanderer at heart, unable to settle down to one thing, one place, or one person. She constantly finds herself in mental battles with what she wants for herself and what she knows is better for her family.
Since she Impressed, the transition from traveling with her family to a fixed life at the Weyr has made life very different for Khalida. But, she's thrilled to have Kirrsinth and is perfectly content to lavish the young green in attention.

History of Persona:
Khalida was the third daughter to a family of five, which has now blossomed into seven. She started life out in the deserts of Igen, and she loved it. According to her, it makes one truly appreciate life because "you never know when the ground's going to open up and swallow you." Thier caravan was huge, and trade was plentiful. But, as time went on, one of the Holder's sons came back from his fostering at another hold. Captivated by Khalida, he asked for her hand in marriage. Such a ranked union was celebrated in the caravan until a few days later, the reason for his return revealed itself. The boy, it turned out, hadn't been sent for. He had been married previously for over a turn, and in that turn had beaten his wife so terribly that their marriage was nullified and he was forced to return to his home. Khalida's father was furious and denied him her hand. Needless to say, the boy's father was less than happy, and denied the caravan admittance to the Hold as long as Khalida was with him. This could have been a mortal blow to the caravan, since in the desert every stop along the route is crucial to refuel on water and food. Muared's brother, the current leader of the caravan, assured them that they could just stop somewhere else. Muared insisted that they would travel elsewhere, not to hinder the trading. So, the caravan split, one third coming with three wagons to journey south with Muared. They ferried themselves and all their supplies across the ocean and onto the Southern Continent where they now trade in the lands around Dolphin Cove Weyr.
At their last stop at Dolphin Cove, Khalida was Searched by Degrorth and her rider -- Oria. At Nyith's hatching she Impressed green Kirrsinth. They are, like most weyrling pairs, enamoured with each other.

Description of Dragon:
Kirrsinth is a lovely emerald green, like shadows over a nice piece of silk at dusk. Flickers of jade and a deep aquamarine are seen along her spars and back. Her wings are a mottled pattern of rich pine and sage lightening to olive around the edges.

Kirssinth is proving to be just as knowledge-hungry and fiesty as her rider. She has no problem saying or asking questions about what's on her mind, and tact is a complete loss to her, often much to the dismay of her rider.
She's constantly popping into the minds of other dragons, asking questions about the world around her. She also has a tendancy to forget and end up asking similar questions a few days later -- thankfully, by then, most of the other dragons have forgotten also.

Quarter-Mark, Brown Firelizard: aged 9, hatched m9 d4
His color is dappled, and ranges from a rich klah in a jagged river along his back, to a light, sandy tan along his middle and fading to an almost beige on his wingsails.

Quarter-Mark is the latest starter of mischief around the camp. Unfortunately, that's because he's very popular with the young children and they're giving him all the bad ideas. Really, he's like everyone's firelizard, and usually is only around Khalida when he's in need of something or wants a quiet moment away from excited youngsters. Maybe one day he'll grow into the proper message-carrier he was intended to be, since much of his personality is still developing. He was named Quarter-mark, since, according to Khalida's father, that's all he's worth on a good day.
