Name: T'moran
Age:
49
Birthday: m2 d9
Rank: Wingrider, Cyclone Wing
Location: Dolphin Cove Weyr
Physical Description of Persona:
T'moran is of average height and strongly built due to his active life as a dragonrider, if a little thinner than most. Dark hair is cropped close to his head, exposing an angular face and grey-blue eyes. His skin is tanned and weathered by a life lived mostly outdoors. Turns as a rider have left him with many small scars and burns, but so far he has escaped any serious injury.
His voice is low and rather soft, though he has had to learn the trick of raising it in pitch to be more easily heard in drills and meetings since his promotion to leadership rank.
Emotional Description of Persona:
Driven mainly by a strong sense of duty, whether that is to his Wing, to his friends or to Pern, T'moran is fiercely independent after Turns of having to depend on others and unwilling to seek help, preferring to struggle with any problems he has alone. Outwardly reserved, he displays a grave courtesy to strangers, particularly women and those of high rank. As a Wingleader he is considered rather distant by his riders, and though he is less severe and exacting than others he is adamant that his authority not be challenged.
By no means a shy person, he has always tended to associate more with older bronze and brownriders and has a reputation as a traditionalist, though he can sometimes surprise observers with less conventional actions.
History of Persona:
Tamoran was born in Emerald Falls territory, the eldest son of a farmholder and his wife. The life was not a luxurious one and his father a stern man, but being isolated they were not involved much in Hold politics and thus he is without the prejudices often ascribed to holdfolk. All of the children were expected to work hard and marry well, male or female.
He might have remained there all his life, inheriting the holding from his father, but the man fell ill just before his thirteenth birthday and died before the month was out. The Lord Holder would not allow such a young boy to inherit, and rather than live on the charity of a distant relative Tamoran's mother took her children and joined the caravan of her uncle, a trader.
The uncle was not best pleased to find himself saddled with so many extra mouths to feed, but he fufilled his obligation to the family without complaint. Since dragonriders paid as well as any other customers for trade goods, his route took him past Weyrs as often as Holds and it was at one of these that Tamoran was Searched when he was fifteen. Seeing the experience as more of an interesting adventure than a serious matter, he was rather startled to find himself paired with bronze Haldarth and plunged into weyrling training.
During the Interval, T'moran used his trader's knack for buying, selling and seeking out bargains to work with the Headwoman and the Lower Caverns staff rather than pursue a craft. He was promoted to Wingsecond in his mid-twenties, and by the time the position of Wingleader of Cyclone Wing became vacant he had amassed enough experience as a leader to be a natural choice for the position.

Dragon's Name: Haldarth
Dragon's Age: 35
Dragon's Hatching Date: m12 d19
Dragon's Colour: Bronze
Description of Dragon:
Haldarth is not a particularly talkative or curious dragon but more of a strong and comforting presence in his rider's life. On the smaller side as bronzes go, he has an immensely dignified manner that T'moran sometimes teases him for, not recognising the parallels in his own character.
