Physical Description of Persona:
O'rosin is tall and strong, though his build is currently more lean than bulky. This may change as his body gets used to three square meals and a more varied diet than tubers and fish. His body is used to hard work, with skin tanned dark and rough from a life on the sea. He has lots of scars for his short time aboard the fishing boats of his cotholds. His face is speckled with freckles and his sandy brown hair is bleached by the sun in parts, though his hair is in an awkward state of growth; his mother or one of the aunties would cut everyone's hair every so often, and none of them were ever /good/ at it. His grey eyes mimic an intensity that borders on brooding, though it's because he's used to squinting against the sun and its reflection on the water.

Emotional Description of Persona:
O'rosin is stressed. He's homesick. He's not entirely sure he wants to be at the Weyr, but he would never dare to turn up his nose on this stroke of luck. He is amazed at the wealth of the Weyr compared to home, how the tithes of the protectorate mean that he can have three square meals a day and learn whatever he wants to learn. He's voracious, now that he has the opportunity. He wants to learn, to help himself and to pull his own weight in this strange place. He wants to be able to go home and show everyone that he can read and write, or who knows what else. He's not afraid to tell anyone that he doesn't know what he doing and hardly understands left from right anymore, and though he's been hazed a few times for not recognizing the jokes, he enjoys a good joke and won't let it ruin his mood. This is an opportunity that no one else at home will ever get, and absolutely nothing can ruin that.

History of Persona:
O'rosin can't point to his cothold on a map. Close to old Topaz Seahold, he'd tell you, when in reality it was a small fishing cothold on the edges of Topaz Seahold's boundaries. Isolated they always were, but it got worse after the hurricane that wiped out the Seahold and nearly obliterated the cothold. O'rosin could tell you of uncles and cousins and brothers lost at sea; if not in that hurricane, then in the storms that came before and the storms that came after. The Harpers didn't come by too often, and while he learned his teaching ballads well enough, his lessons ended there. It didn't matter so much: they worked hard to support each other, and even though some seasons were rougher than others, they survived.

Everything changed when O'rosin and some of his younger brothers accompanied their father to the nearest minor hold for a market. A pair of Searchriders were in attendance, and O'rosin caught the green dragon's attention. He was loathe to leave (the minor hold is the farthest he's ever been from home) but with his gaggle of brothers and sisters at home and few marriage prospects, his family urged him to go.

The Weyr may as well be on another planet.

In m10 d05 t11, O'rosin looked like he might Impress a bronze. His brown, Aeoluth, leapt forward to charge. That bronze made it out of the way, but Aeoluth couldn't stop. He tackled O'rosin to the ground and they both panicked, severely injuring O'rosin during Impression.

Dragon's Name: Aeoluth
Dragon's Age: 1
Dragon's Hatching Date: m10 d5
Dragon's Colour: Brown
Description of Dragon:
A big hulking beast of a brown, Aeoluth started big and will end big, topping off well into smaller bronze territory. His brown is the color of a deep, dark bay runnerbeast hide, which looks oh-so-handsome and fine when he's properly bathed and oiled. His face and ankles have lighter bay splotches, similar to the socks and blaze patterns of a runnerbeast. His face is large and blocky, with prominent eyeridges that give him a scowling sort of face no matter what his mood.

Even as a hatchling he had a huge, powerful hindquarters and giant wings meant to lift his body into the air. For now, he has more musculature and wingspan than he knows what to do with, and he'll be clumsier and slower to grace as the rest of his class. He'll never be a particularly acrobatic dragon in the air, not compared to the greens and blues and even smaller browns.

Aeoluth started his life with a bang. He's a physical dragon, always a half step behind when he can. He loves to wrestle and roughhouse, and doesn't recognize his own strength. It'll be a hard lesson to mind his strength, especially as he packs on bulk ahead of his peers.

It's not that he's naturally high-strung. The immediate impulse wins a lot of the time in his youth, and with a firm hand he'll eventually learn to dial it back. He'll always be a bit of a loner, compared to the other weyrlings and dragons of the Weyr, and he'll have to be nudged away from bad habits like resource-guarding and overprotectiveness. He's a softie, deep down, and will never quite know how to express it and won't really lose his overprotective streak. He's exploring a good deal of the world from O'rosin's head and perspective, and that world is scary and confusing.
