Physical Description of Persona:
Other than the nose that's a bit too large for his face, Sojak isn't a bad looking guy. His sparkling blue are very expressive which is great when working with the Hold's children. His smile is warm and friendly. If it weren't for the well trimmed black beard, he would look even younger than he is as he has a very boyish enthusiasm and a smaller frame.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Sojak is a people pleaser from the word go. He is always trying to make those around him happy, though he knows when to be strict with the little ones. His discipline method, however, is usually just a good and heart-felt talking too more than a true show of anger. Though he would give the shirt off his back to a stranger and willingly sacrifice for the sake of his friends, he is not a total push-over. He will put his foot down before compromising his sense of right and wrong.

He loves children and can't wait to have some of his own, though he has not yet found a woman of his own. Many girls have found him TOO good for comfort, and he more often falls into the category of "brotherly" affection than romantic attachment. In fact his first "romantic" experience happened with another male harper after he first got his journeyman knots several turns before when he ended up in a heavy make out session with one of his good friends. This was a huge surprise to him which he chalked up to way too much wine and a dare that went somehow wrong. He has since had some experiences with women which has calmed any fears that he might of had that he would end up being one of "those" men and just doesn't think or talk about that other night.

History of Persona:
Sojak was born in a much colder and wetter region of Pern, nestled up against the Western Barrier range. At a young age he displayed a passionate love for music and his local harper happily began teaching the boy gitar and other stringed instruments in his spare time, which he seemed to excel at. When he finally graduated harper classes, the journeyman recommended to Sojak's family that he might think of going to the Hall for formal training.

While Sojak became a fine musician at the Harper Hall, and had planned to pursue music as his career, in his very first assignment as a journeyman he discovered his love for teaching. While he wanted to continue his instruments as a hobby, his focus changed completely and he went back to the Hall to specialize in instructing the little ones. Everyone agreed when they saw how both his face and those of the children lit up when he walked into the room that teaching was indeed his true calling.

At twenty-three, he was offered a place teaching at Sunstone Seahold. He has found that he loves the natural beauty, the climate, and of course the children of the Hold. Sojak still performs and can often be found with an instrument in his hands when not teaching. Though he misses his family, especially his beloved younger sisters, he is quite happy in this life.
