Physical Description of Persona:
Visalia is of average height, though her legs are fairly long for her height. She is thin, but stronger than she looks; a need considering the work that is done by her and her grandfather. Ebony hair curls and twists around her face and is very thick. Her eyes are a sharp grey and seem to miss very little. Medium cheek bones round off a gently sweet-heart shaped face that gives her an almost innocent look at times.
Emotional Description of Persona:
Visalia is not timid, meek, or self-effacing, though she rarely tries to put herself in the forefront. She doesn't like to be idle but prefers to have something to do and generally finds very little time when there is _not_ something to be done. She can be strong-willed, and independent-minded and the life she has lived with her grandfather has forced both her and her grandfather to push convention and tradition. She is willing to help others, but tends to be realistic and doesn't always trust right away.
History of Persona:
Visalia was born at the small cothold that she currently lives in with her grandfather. Her mother, Liana, died when she was three from an illness, so what Visalia really remembers about her are almost shadows at the edge of her memory. She was raised by her father and her grandfather. Her family used to be larger, but the plagues that swept over the land decimated her family, leaving on her, her father (Visago) and her grandfather.
The cothold is small, though Ravis is a rather good trapper and has taken time to teach his granddaughter how to trap and hunt. He is a true 'jack of all trades' and there is very little that he can't usually figure out. Her father's talents rested mainly in hunting and he often went out to help Ravis. While Ravis was gone on a trip one day, however, Visago went out hunting alone and was killed by a wild cat. Since then, Visalia has done her best to help out her grandfather and care for the cothold, though she sometimes wonders if it would be better to move to a larger holding.
