Physical Description of Persona:
Chali isn't beautiful. Her nose is a little too wide, her lips a little too full. Her freckles are a little too dark and her brown hair and eyes are a little too normal. Her figure is a little too round, even if the roundness is mostly in the right places. Most would classify her as cute, but she doesn't want to be cute. She wants to be beautiful.

To that end of looking beautiful, Chali generally dresses up. She'll spend quite a lot of time on her hair, picking an outfit, and making sure she's wearing matching jewelry. She also has whatever creams and ointments she can get her hands on to make her skin appear flawless. She never wears anything tatty, choosing to wear the best clothing that her family can afford.

Emotional Description of Persona:
More than anything, Chali longs to please. She wants to make people happy, and more than anything, she wants people to notice her. Secretly, she hopes people notice that she makes them happy. She knows its a selfish reason to be kind to people, but she desperately wants people to like her, and she dares to hope some might even love her. But she doesn't really believe it. She's had friends before that she thought really cared about her, but they ended up stabbing her in the back. Her mother says she's being too over dramatic to think that way. It's one of her flaws. Her father could list of all her other flaws. He seems to be keeping a list. She knows her father loves her. At least, she keeps telling herself he does. But she just can't seem to please him, not matter how hard she tries. And no matter how right she is in an argument, her mother always sides with him and never her. Her mother says she'll understand when she's older. Chali just hopes she can find a good husband soon. After all, a husband would have to love her...

History of Persona:
There was never anything special about Chali's life. She was the only child, which was a little unusual in the Hold, but that was really the only thing she could claim was unique about her. Her father was an assistant steward, her mother stayed at home and took care of her as well as spent countless candelmarks in the Ladies Solar gossiping and sewing and doing what ladies are supposed to do. Chali had never really fit in with the popular girls at the Hold. She had tried all through Harper Classes. Admittedly, she probably tried a little too hard. But they never really liked her, though there had been a time they pretended they did. At least, Chali had believed they liked her... Maybe they had just put up with her... But since graduating Harper Classes Chali can usually be found next to her mother in the Ladies Solar, quietly sewing and listening to the gossip, but not really caring. She can also be found hiding out next to the falls with some harper romance her mother wouldn't approve of, dreaming of the day when she could be the heroine in her very own romance story.

In month 7 of Turn 4, Chali met and befriended a young holder woman named Eliste. The young woman had been married to a brutish man and Chali really hadn't liked him. Soon after Eliste's first child died, the young woman had run away and joined a riverboat crew. Chali still sees Eliste occasionally, whenever the riverboad docks at Emerald Falls.
