Physical Description of Persona:
Shauni is not just small, she's tiny and has been all her life, though she keeps hoping that if she eats enough she will get that growth spurt she's been dreaming of. Much to her frustration, she is often mistaken for several turns younger than her actual age. Her small muscular form is rather boyish, though in the past couple of months she has started to develop ever so slightly. Hours in the sun have resulted in a nice tan, which is a great contrast to her light hair.

After being strictly forbidden to do so by her stepmother, she bobbed her honey blonde hair so that it hits her at about the jaw line. Had she realized that relieving the extra weight would make it so curly she probably would not have cut it, since she now looks more like a very young girl than ever. Shauni has bright hazel blue/green eyes and a pert little nose that is slightly turned up and smattered with just a few freckles. Her lips are somewhat large for her impish face.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Of all the adjectives one could use to describe Shauni, not one of them would be considered ladylike. Very much the tomboy, she is bright, curious, adventurous, and mischievous. Growing up with six brothers, she learned how to take both teasing and hard knocks. She absolutely loves to swim and adores everything about the sea. Most activities involving movement are good in fact. Actually, she doesn't mind sitting still if there's something to be learned or discovered.

History of Persona:
Born the youngest child and only daughter to a Master Fisherman and his wife, Shauni spent most of her young life trying to please her father, or at least get his attention. Proud of his six sons and their accomplishments, Peydregaun really did not know what to do with a girl. He loved his daughter, but just did not see that she was of much interest or use. This didn't stop the diminutive girl from trying to get his attention at every turn, however, whether it was striving to be the best swimmer, catching a fish as big as she, or finding enough trouble that he would have to notice her.

Shauni's mother died when she was three and she was turned over to an overindulgent foster mother until age seven, when her father remarried. By this time, Shauni had been allowed to run free with her brothers for too long. Much to her stepmother's chagrin, there was no teaching her feminine arts.

Though, Shauni's eldest brother was much like her father and paid her little mind, her other five siblings adored her and lavished her with attention, thinking it great fun to teach her things not always deemed appropriate for a female. She grew particularly close to her Healer brother Peyshil.

Tired of her boyish ways and mischief, Shauni's stepmother began to talk to Peydregaun about fostering the boisterous girl to an inland hold so that she might start to learn more womanly ways. When Shauni, tartly responded that perhaps she would go north so that she could apprentice to a craft, she saw the first genuine spark of interest she had ever raised in her father's eyes. Then and there she decided that she would become a crafter and make her father proud.

She considered the Healer Hall, but for all her brave words did not want to move north and abandon her beloved beaches. When she announced that she wished to apprentice to become a dolphineer, her father readily agreed. It was the proudest day in her life, when he actually took time away from his busy schedule, to personally escort her for an interview at the Dolphin Hall.
