Physical Description of Persona:
Of medium height and build, K'les seems like he could blend in with a crowd and go unnoticed, quiet and unassuming as he is. Yet, with the combination of his dark brown hair and very pale blue eyes, he is strikingly handsome, and gets more attention than he's comfortable with. Turns of flying has lent him some muscle, and threadscore some ruggedness- but overall he looks younger than he is- something he constantly feels holds him back when it comes to his work.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Quiet and studious was typically how people described the young Healer. He was serious and thoughtful as a child, and that never really changed... even after his turns at the Healer Hall. He takes his work very seriously, and sometimes has trouble relating to people unless he is treating them of some ailment or another.

History of Persona:
Kaelles was born to a family of dragonriders at Far Island, and it was simply expected that he'd follow in their footsteps. Ever since he could remember, he wanted to do something different. Oh, dragons were wonderful, of course, but Standing for a few turns and leaving the Sands alone reinforced the idea that he ought to get out and do something else.

The most natural place was Healer Hall. When he was six turns old, he'd fallen and broken his arm. Fascinated by the splint and the various medicines the weyrhealers had used, Kaelles spent every free moment in their company, learning what he could through observation.

At fourteen, he told his parents he wanted to apprentice to Healer Hall. Wait, they said- and he did, Standing two more times before he put his foot down and packed his belongings. Reluctantly, they let him go.

He had to work very hard, since he started older than the rest of the Apprentices. Even so, Kaelles put in extra hours, studied long into the night, and volunteered whenever he was able to assist the Healers. He was determined to make it in the outside world, rather than go back to the weyr.

Go back he did, but only after he'd earned his Journeyman's knots at twenty turns of age. Kaelles went back to visit, the first time in five turns, to see his youngest siblings Stand for the first time. He knew he shouldn't have come home early- both his mother and the twins begged him to Stand. One last time, to give the Twins confidence, to show them his support, because you just never know. The litany went on and on... He steeled himself against the inevitable bitter taste Standing had always left him with and found himself in a white robe with his young siblings, marching out with a group of hopeful candidates- all younger than he was.

The twins did Impress- a green for Kaylia and a blue for Kylor. Once all the eggs had cracked and the awkward dragonets had moved to various groups of Candidates, Kaelles began to walk off the sands, disappointed yet again, and absolutely determined to focus completely on his craft.

As he turned his back on the Hatching Grounds for the last time, he was knocked flat by an overly enthusiastic brown dragonet.

Completely unexpectedly, he also Impressed that day, changing all his plans and his life forever.

Needless to say, his parents were overjoyed.

They fully expected him to rise in the ranks of the riders, and become a leader in the Weyr- and constantly reminded him of that. Leave Healing for the dragonless folk, they said.

K'les, however, had other plans. As soon as he heard the rumor that other Weyrs were looking for healers, he put in for a transfer.

Description of Dragon:
Rhyanth is a very dark brown with a reddish undertone to his hide. Well proportioned, he's of average size for a brown, but with a deep chest and long wings that give him a good balance of agility and stamina. He's much more light-hearted than his rider, and more often than not, it leads to playful arguments between the two.
