Physical Description of Persona:
Though V'ael's build seems average for a man, the one thing that stands out most about him is his dark, mysterious brown eyes, nearly black in color. His appearance is very sharp, with a long face and an elegant nose that drops down to his pleasantly-curved lips. His face is framed by waves of dark brown hair, just long enough to get into his eyes, which he sometimes has to comb back with his fingers.

V'ael's appearance tends to be very clean, and yet casual. Most of the time, his clothing is composed of clean button-up shirts and wher-hide pants, and if the viewer is fortunate, he will be caught in a studious moment, wearing his glasses while reading.

Emotional Description of Persona:
As the Hold-bred child of a Harper, V'ael is foremost a very logical person with a strong moral center. He tends to be a reserved individual, but he is far from timid. He is very intelligent, though never condescending. He is very confident, though never arrogant. As well, V'ael is very respectful of his peers and his environment. His words and actions are often subtle rather than blunt, though his cleverness does not overpower a sense of trustworthiness.

History of Persona:
Vaeldin was born the son of a Harper in Amethyst Cliff Hold. His father was most interested in Vaeldin's education, which inspired him to teach Vaeldin a wide variety of subjects. Amongst those subjects was literature, and Vaeldin especially enjoyed the stories of the heroic Dragonriders. His mother was also an intellectual. Though due to restrictions she could never persue a craft, Vaeldin's father enjoyed his wife's independent learning, and was glad to see such intelligence from his beloved.

When he was twelve, Vaeldin was sent to Emerald Falls Hold to apprentice in the Harper Craft Hall. He was a bright pupil, exhibiting a desire and ability to learn many subjects. In the end, he found that the path of the Archivist was best suited for his generalist education. Vaeldin quickly ascending through the ranks of apprenticeship, and at the age of eighteen, he received his Junior Journeyman knots. A turn after he walked the tables, a dragon came on Search for a new clutch at Dolphin's Cove Hold, and Vaeldin was offered the chance to Stand on the hatching grounds. Vaeldin found the prospect of becoming one of the Dragonrider heroes from literature very alluring, and he fantasized about what kinds of stories the Harpers would someday write about him. He accepted the offer, and traveled to Dolphin's Cove Hold.

When Vaeldin Stood, his age nearing twenty, a brown hatchling named Lessarith looked into Vaeldin's soul, saw exactly what he hoped for, and chose him to be his life mate. When Vaeldin, now V'ael, completed his Weyrlingship, he remained with Dolphin's Cove for several months, but he longed to return to the hills of his childbirth. He requested to be transferred to Dragonsfall Weyr, and he has just joined the wings as well as Dragonsfall's Harpers.
