Physical Description of Persona:
J'nus is shorter than most men, but certainly stockier. Thick arms, thighs wider than most women's waists, and hands and feet the size of dinner plates... J'nus is physically imposing, simply because there is so much of him. His skin is becoming dark and weathered, and he's beginning to wrinkle around his eyes and mouth. His ears stick out and his hair is short and pricky, and turned grey before his thirtieth birthingday. The back of his right calf is knotted with scars that gives him a slight limp - a memento of the first Fall of the Pass - and a triangular brand mars the inside of his left wrist.

Emotional Description of Persona:
J'nus is slowly growing out of a wild youth that included fist fights, binge drinking, womanizing, and a serious gambling problem. Although mostly level headed and practical, he occasionally backslides into the self proclaimed jerk that he used to be. He still has a taste for women, though, and a childhood spent living out of a caravan means that he is a terrible packrat and a devoted collector - of rugs, wood carvings, and books. He is also extremely handy and can perform a number of minor fixes on furniture, plumbing, and electrical systems, and has a knack for jerry-rigging problems using whatever he can get his hands onto.

He is a little reserved around other people, and tends not to drink very much simply because he doesn't trust himself around alcohol. He doesn't like to speak about his past, he's somewhat unforgiving, and he's a little more by the book than he'd like to admit.

History of Persona:
J'nus started life as a trader, and all his early memories are of his caravan and the outdoors. He fondly remembers swimming in streams, running barefoot in the woods, climbing trees and making his own fishing poles and tackle out of whatever he could find, and remembers going hungry and losing a cousin to a blizzard with considerably less fondness. But his life didn't truly begin until he was Searched at fifteen and brought to to River Bluff Weyr to Stand. Without the guiding influence of his family he embraced Weyr life a little too readily. He didn't Impress bronze Kopth until two turns later, and by then he had already settled into a life of debauchery and gambling.

It wasn't until J'nus woke up in a strange weyr with a broken arm and no memory of how he got there that he realized what a mess he was. He transferred to Dragonsfall Weyr as soon as he was fit to fly in an effort to sever old ties, and it took several long turns before he was able to pay off his debts and disassociate himself from his former life. That was twenty two turns ago.

Now J'nus is known as a reliable Wingrider with a good head on his shoulders, if a little unimaginative. He's more likely to be found with his nose in a book, fishing, or spending time outdoors than drinking or gambling with the other riders.

Description of Dragon:
With a hide so dark it's almost brown, Kopth isn't the flashiest of the bronze dragons. He's also not the biggest, or fastest, but what he lacks in size and speed he makes up for in stamina. He tends to worry about his rider and doesn't always trust him to make the right decisions, and worries about J'nus backsliding into his former bad habits. This means that he tends to nag, which J'nus finds both irritating and endearing.
