Description: After the flight the pair share a little welcome closeness
Location: Dolphin Cove Weyr
Date: month 5, day 9 of Turn 7
She knew before she opened her eyes. The bronze coloring she'd seen
embracing Liddith could only be one dragon. How could her life get
more complicated she thought wearily.
Just when she'd come to accept that he was with Meledei now and she
didn't stand a chance. Just when she'd begun to move on with her life
and try to find a way to forget the thing she'd wanted to so much but
now realized was just an illusion.
Turning her head she saw enough of him to know. So, she carefully
turned back and closed her eyes.
As he came out of the passion induced state, T'nom felt a grin form on
his face. The Flight had been a good one. The satisfaction at winning
had coursed through both Taldeth and T'nom. He shifted, looked at the
figure before him and recalled _exactly_ whose Flight it had been.
Pierka. The one person he _didn't_ want to hurt anymore. He feared
this might push her away from him again.
She looked so beautiful, lying there for him to see. Her belly round
with his child that she carried.
"I didn't hurt you or the baby did I?" He asked with concern. He'd not
been careful, caught up in the throes of passion. Could he have hurt
her or the baby?
"We're fine," she said and turned toward him. Surely she had the right
to savor his arms around her for a few minutes before he decided it
was time for him to leave. She smiled and took his hand to feel the
strong child rolling from one side to the other inside her. "We're
just fine."
He let out the breath he hadn't even realized he'd been holding. When
she turned to him, he felt another sense of relief. She hadn't turned
away from him as he'd expected. Allowing his hand to rest on her
abdomen, he felt the babe's movements. It brought a smile to his face.
He took his time gazing down at her naked form, allowing himself to
savor the wonderful view. She was beautiful, just as she always had
been, but now she seemed even more so in his eyes. Perhaps it was
knowing she was growing _their_ child within her.
"You look beautiful Pierka. You always have," He was still tentative
that she would pull away as she'd done before, and he knew he couldn't
blame her if she did.
She smiled and allowed her feelings to show in her eyes. "Thank you,"
she said softly. She was glad to share such an intimate moment with
the man she loved that she let her guard down so she could just savor
the feelings. She reached up a hand to run her fingers through his
hair.
"What happens in the flight room, stays in the flight room," she said.
He grinned a broad grin at those words and her reaction. No longer
feeling as hesitant, T'nom placed a hand on her arm, tracing down her
skin. It had been a long time since he'd been with her, seen her like
this. He _missed_ this side of Pierka.
"Yes," he replied, leaning his head in to kiss her. "I've missed you Pierka."
She wasn't going to spoil the one chance at this moment by
remonstrating with him so she just smiled and pulled his head toward
hers.
He accepted the invitation with ease, meeting her lips with his. His
hands sliding over her body, resting momentarily on her stomach,
before thoughts soon turned to one thing and one thing only.

They lay face to face his hand on her abdomen while the baby danced
for them. "Ohh," she giggled. Did you feel that one?"
He chuckled at the little bump he'd just felt. "I did. I think the
babe is going to grow up to do amazing things, Pierka. Especially with
such an amazing mother. Do you ever wonder if it will be a girl or a
boy?"
He slid his hand to rest just on the side of her abdomen. He felt an
ache within him. Wishing he could share these moments with her more
often, yet knowing the choice he had made wouldn't allow him to. How
could he feel love for _two_ women. Different love, yes, but a love
for them both. Why did he have to choose between them? He tried to
push those thoughts away for now, wanting instead to savor the moments
with Pierka by his side.
"Sometimes," she said softly and covered his hand with her own. It was
nicer than she thought possible just to lay here with him talking
about their baby. "What do you think you want?"
He looked at her with gentleness and love in his eyes. "I'd be happy
with either. Honestly. It's just amazing to think that the child is a
part of me and a part of you."
He paused. "I'm sorry that I haven't been with you as much as I
should. I want that to change. I _want_ to be here for you as much as
I can. I want..." he sighed and dropped his head. "I want things I
can't seem to have, but that's another matter. For now, I want you to
know just how deeply I _do_ care for you and the babe." His words were
sincere as he felt his emotions starting to choke him up as he talked.
She didn't know whether to believe him or not but she didn't want to
fight right now so she just smiled and accepted his apology. "I know,"
she said softly. "It's not easy for either of us. But we are going to
have to talk about names soon."
"Names? Hmm, I haven't really thought much about it. Do you have
ideas?" He allowed his hands to just touch against her skin, savoring
the chance to spend time with her in this way.
"Well..."
