Oria

Oria

Kwiksol walked about, looking for this evenings dinning companion.
Would it be a new buddy? Someone he could question about stuff, or
**That!** he thought as his eyes caught sight of Oria. A short little women with blond icing.

He decided to sit down. "And where have you been hiding gorgeous?"

"Sorry?" she looked him over in confusion and surprise.

"I guess you've been hiding here," he replied, bringing both his tone down low, hoping to get her to lean in to hear. "But I'd hate to think I've been missing the sight, and company, of such a beautiful, young, women: even for a day."

Oria blinked, slowly. This was direct, even for a the weyr. And he couldn't have been here that long, could he?

"Little quiet though," he said, continuing when Oria didn't say anything. "Please, a name?"

"Oria," she replied, manners finally rising to the fore.

"Ooooria," Kwiksol said dragging out the O, in a light tone, as if pondering the name. "My name, is Kwiksol. I hope you don't mind my company as a _dinning_ companion?"

"Just a dining companion?" she countered.

**Shes singing my tune** he thought before answering. "Well, its a good enough place to start, don't you think?"

"Perhaps the only place," she said, thinking he shouldn't assume anything.
She wasn't the type to take every man she met to her bed, in fact she wasn't even sure that the stories about some greenriders doing just that were true.

"Yes, it is good to start at the beginning," Kwiksol responded as he began to nibble at his food. "Mmmm the Foods great here."

"It's not bad," she replied. "I've eaten worse."

"So me about Oria," he said, turning to look intently into her face.

"What would you like to know?" she asked. "My name I've told you, my knots will tell you I'm a rider and a healer."

"Theres always so much more to a person then there titles Oria. All that tells me is your occupation. What do you _do_ in your free time?
What do you enjoy? What are you passionate about?" he said, with only minor innuendo, his hands complimenting his speech.

"I enjoy many things," she replied. "Many things."

"And is sharing not one of them," he shot back with a grin.

"It just depends who with."

He smiled at her, shaking his head. "Ok, can you help me out with something then? What am I doing wrong? Am I doing something wrong?"

"I just like to get to know people as friends first, nothing else."

"Too friendly for a friend then?" he said with a wink.

"Oh, but you can keep trying."

He smiled at her. "don't worry, I certainly will."

"Don't give up just yet," she said.

"Give up? Never! or well, almost," he grinned at her.

"That I can believe."

"I hope you like that," he said. He knew not all females liked his confidant manner.

"Maybe I could get used to it."

"do you want to?" he shot back.

"Keep on like that and I might."

"Ok, you win!" Kwiksol said laughing heartily at the rapid fire exchange. He nibble a bit at his forgotten food. "Forgive me, I'm harper trained and I like to ramble on. Oria, if we are to start as friends, you'll have to tell me a bit more about yourself. Or how about how you like it here at the Weyr? The weather is absolutely beautiful here, I hope it stays that way."

"It'll get warmer still in summer." She smiled. "I do miss proper winters though. I was born in the north you see."

"Oh, proper winters? Its hard to even think about them with all those sun rays."

"Sometimes a little change is good."

"I whole _heartily_ agree with you about that, Oria," Kwiksol replied, looking into those deep green eyes.

"And with that," she said rising to her feet. "I must go, Degrorth needs me."

"Good day then, fair Oria rider of degrorth," he said taking one of her hands in a squeeze.
