Description: Judassa makes a big mistake.
Location: Dolphin Cove Weyr
Date: month 7, day 2 of Turn 7
With Jeyme down in the infirmary, again, D'hol found himself alone in
hs weyr. It was an odd feeling. He had been alone most of his life,
and it hadn't really bothered him to be solitary in his weyr, but
Jeyme had inserted herself so easily and completely into his life that
it was strange to have their normal routine interrupted. He couldn't
say that he liked it much. He absently wondered when that minor
holder, that...Reven, would be taken back to his lands.
Kicking off his boots, he had almost sat down when he heard the knock.
Frowning, he rose, went to the door and then opened it. One brow
quirked. " Judassa? Jeyme's not here right now."
A pretty pout crossed the blonde's face as she look up at D'hol. She
hadn't been at the Weyr long, but gossip about D'hol, the Weyrwoman,
and Jeyme had been easy to find. It had secretly made Judassa laugh
that her sister, the little dolt, had _really_ thought that a man
would be faithful to her. Judassa had learned already in life that men
were faithful to no one but themselves. Still, it seemed that Jeyme
had been happy to settle for warming the man's bed while he lusted
after someone else. Dragonriders called it be "flexible" didn't they?
Being comfortable with the fact that your weyrmate spent time with other lovers.
"Would it be allright if I waited for her then? She said she would
meet me here after she was finished at the infirmary." Judassa had
seen the skin and bones Minor Holder lying down in the infirmary, and
were he not married, she might have been down there seeing to his good
health for herself.
One brow quirked upwards and with a minute shrug, D'hol stepped back
to let her in. He turned on his heel sat on the couch and picked up a
tattered book. "I don't know how long she will be."
"Hopefully not too long. I am sure that the Minor Holder has plenty of
women offering to look after him." Judassa said this with a smile. She
wondered if it bothered D'hol at all to have his weyrmate off tending
to some other man for long periods of time, or, if it was as the Weyr
advertised- everyone was free of jealousy and everyone shared.
He shrugged again. "Jeyme knows him apparently." He glanced up at the
young woman. "He's the husband of a friend of hers. Jeyme can stay as
long as she wishes. Your best bet is to go to her."
Judassa walked around the couch, her hips moving in a slow, seductive
sway, "It's fine, I will wait, I am patient." She came around behind
him and bent over, her golden hair spilling over her shoulders as she
spoke near his ear, "What are you reading?"
D'hol went completely still at the brush of lips against his ears and
then slowly put the book down. He spoke softly, "It isn't important,
actually." His eyes narrowed just a little and he continued. "Patient,
hm?"
Not knowing D'hol as Jeyme did, Judassa took the man's soft tone as a
good sign and she slid her hands from the back of the couch over the
bronzerider's shoulders. She had to admit that he felt solidly built
beneath his tunic. Little Jeyme had done something right after all.
"That's right."
D'hol slowly sat up and slowly took to his feet. He turned to face
her, one brow arched as his eyes slid very pointedly over her.
"Patient enough to wait to find me alone." One lip corner lifted. "I'm
flattered."
This was going easier than planned, Judassa decided as she came around
the couch so that there was nothing in between them. As she walked she
pulled on the belt that kept the dress wrapped around her body, and
with a fluid shrug of her shoulders it slid down her body to land in a
pool at her feet.
"I can help you pass the time while you wait."
"Hmm..." D'hol tilted his head and allowed his gaze to slide coolly
over her curves. "Really." He walked slowly around her and slid one
finger down her arm. "An interesting proposition." He stepped closer,
his eyes slightly narrowed. "But should I take it...."
Judassa's lips curved up into a sensual smile as she reached up, one
hand resting flat against his chest, the other lightly tracing the
buttons on his shirt, "I should think the answer to that would be an
easy one..."
Without warning, D'hol's hands flew to rip Judassa's hands off of him,
tightening into punishing bands around her forearms. His eyes grew
cold. "Let me make this very clear to you. I am Jeyme's weyrmate. I
wouldn't bed you or betray her for any woman that would so easily
spread her thighs. He began dragging her to the door.
The door swung open and the figure in the door came to an abrupt halt.
Jeyme surveyed the situation with a frown. Judassa naked and
struggling while D'hol held her fast.
"What's going on?" She asked her eyebrows drawn.
Judassa turned on the tears, "I came here to see you! He said I could
wait for you but once I was inside he grabbed me!"
D'hol's face grew colder and looking at Jeyme, he continued dragging
Judassa towards the door. "You forgot the part about you stroking my
shoulders and stripping your gown off." He looked at Jeyme. "Your
sister apparently thinks she can charm her way into our bed." He
shoved Judassa out of the door, calmly walked back to her gown and
without pause, tossed it into the garbage chute.
Jeyme watched, unmoving as her sister was shoved out of the door. The
blonde's face was wreathed with fury and indignation, her eyes turning
pleadingly toward Jeyme, "You wouldn't believe some bronzerider over
your own sister would you?" Judassa clung to the doorframe, trying to
shield herself as much as possible.
Slowly, each step deliberate, Jeyme went to the door where her sister
stood. She reached out and gently cupped Judassa's face and relief
immediately blossomed on the blonde's features. Judassa glanced to
where D'hol stood over Jeyme's shoulder.
"I have only one sister," the words were softly spoken, and Judassa's
eyes dragged back to Jeyme's face, which was hard, as if set in stone,
"her name is Gesila and she lives at the Hold. I don't know who you
are, but if you ever come into my weyr again," the hand that had been
gently cupping Judassa's face turned into a claw that clenched into
her jawline, "you will regret it."
Giving her sister's face a backward shove, Jeyme grabbed the door and
slammed it in Judassa's face. Through the door, Jeyme could hear the
last hiss from the creature on the otherside, "You will pay for this."
And then the subsequent sound of bare feet padding against stone as
Judassa left.
D'hol spoke from behind Jeyme. "That girl is going to be trouble."
