Tavia

Tavia

Tavia woke slowly from the flight and took a deep breath trying to
hold still for a few moments longer. Sawauth had held off while she
was pregnant but now it had been a couple months since Kaiavin's birth
and she'd flown into the dawn at Dolphin Cove.

She knew it was a brownrider, that much she remembered but she
couldn't remember who. From the arm draped over her he was a big man.
She turned her head slightly to try and look.

Sh'del lay still, knowing who's Flight he had just won. Which is why
he was so still. If anyone needed all the rest they could get, it was
Tavia. He actually felt a bit bad he had won his old friend's mating
flight, he just hoped to Faranth he hadn't hurt her. When she turned
and looked at him, he smiled looking not so much like his usual
handsome self but rather more like a boy caught with a hand in the
cookie jar.

When she saw it was Sh'del she turned on her back with a snort and a
grimace. He hadn't exactly hurt her but she was certainly sore.
"Shards," she groaned.

"Sorry!" His voice was full of contrite. He tucked the loose furs
around her body.

"Oh," she replied quickly. "Not your fault." Then she checked herself
with a chuckle. "Well, yes it is actually. But don't worry. I'll be
fine."

"It's really soon after having had your boy, isn't it?" He had no clue
how greens and their riders figured this all out.

"It is," she smiled. "But I'm cleared by the healers so... I guess
Sawauth just couldn't wait any longer."

"Yeah..but still." He sat up and gave her a contrite smile. Without
asking, he slipped off the bed and--after putting his trousers back
on--went over to the drinks counter and poured her both a glass of the
white wine there and another of cool water. "It's the least I can
do," he said by way of apology as he handed them both to her.

"Thanks," she said taking the glasses and sipping first from the
water. She'd always liked the brown rider and was privately thankful
to her life mate for choosing Loranth. }:You're welcome, but I didn't
do it for you.:{

**I know,** she chuckled and looked at Sh'del with a big smile.
Shaking her head she just said "Sawauth."

"Any food over there?" She was suddenly ravenous.

He looked back even though he already knew the answer. "No, but I can
get you some."

She downed the water quickly and handed the glass back to him. "No,
don't do that. We can just go down to the dining hall." Sawauth's lust
still simmered in her and she closed her eyes for a moment and took a
nice pull at the wine. She pulled the furs closer and rested her head
against the headboard of the bed.

Finally she opened her eyes with a crooked smile. "Come back to bed,
we'll eat later."

"It's like that, is it?". He slid back into bed with a cheeky grin.

She chuckled. "It is, but this time take it easy on a girl will ya?"
She turned into his arms an promptly wiped the smile off his face with
a passionate kiss. "Lose the trousers," she said a moment later.

"Yes ma'am!" He saluted her and promptly slipped out if his pants.
"What now?" he teased.

"I'm sure you'll think of something," she smiled and slid back into
his arms. "Make it good."
