Description: Janani speaks with T'aesh after the Hatching
Location: Dolphin Cove Weyr
Date: month 2, day 18 of Turn 6

T'aesh left Meledei's side, finally seeing the one person he had
really wanted to see. He saw the Weyrwoman, finally by herself,
getting some more wine, and he made a beeline for her. He knew that
she would be busy, talking with everyone, as she was the Weyrwoman,
and it was her Angdelouth's clutch that hatched. T'aesh knew he
wouldn't get much of her time, but he at least wanted to speak with
her, before he return to his sleeping Raisheth in the weyrling
barracks.

"Hello Weyrwoman" he said as he approached her, his eyes still glowing
with the joy of Impression.

Janani looked up and couldn't help but smile. "T'aesh," she greeted
him. "I have to say, Angdelouth and I are both very proud." There was
a sparkle in her eyes as she looked to the boy. She'd known how hard
things had been for him, but he'd truly shown his worth as he'd worked
to earn their trust and Janani had to admit he'd done that and more in
the time leading up to the hatching.

T'aesh smiled backed at her, so proud to hear the Weyrwoman call him
by his rider name. Though Janani and Angdelouth had not been pleased
with his past actions and behavior, the Weyrwoman of Dolphin Cove Weyr
had always made it plain the she believed T'aesh could do better. Her
punishment had not really been a punishment at all, but more of
exercises to help the young man own up to his mistakes and work to
correct them.

"Thank you Janani" he said, blushing slightly "and thank Angdelouth
too. Raisheth is just perfect, more than I could have ever imagined."

Janani laughed a bit, "Oh trust me, she doesn't need _me_ to tell her
how perfect her children are. It's all she can manage to say at the
moment." She was grinning even as she said the words. "We're both
proud of you, and brown to boot! I cannot wait to get to know Raisheth
more. I imagine he's already stuffed his belly and is off sleeping off
the events of the day?"

T'aesh nodded, grinning from ear to ear thinking about his newly
hatched Raisheth. "Yes ma'am. Stuffed beyond capacity and sleeping
like a rock" he told her. "Right now, I still can't believe that he
is here, and he choose me. It's like...wow." he told the Weyrwoman,
unable to really form words for the feelings that were flowing through
his entire being right then.

"I completely understand," she replied kindly, "It is an experience
like no other. I still remember the moments after Angdelouth chose me.
It was an amazing time."

}:You were meant for me,:{ Angdelouth told her rider simply. }:My
children chose well,:{

Grinning slightly at the private conversation she looked back to the
new weyrling. "There she goes again, bragging about how wonderful all
her children are." It was clear from her tone and the look in her eyes
that Janani was just as pleased and proud as her dragon. "We both
expect great things from you and Raisheth you know," she winked at
him, though she meant her words at the same time.

T'aesh blushed a little and bobbed his head acknowledgement. "We will
do our best to live up to your and Angdelouth's standards." he said,
meaning every word of it. "I want to thank you Janani, for giving me
a chance" he said, the beginning of tears starting to form in the
corner of his eyes.

She hadn't missed the hint of a tear, but she didn't comment on it.
Putting a hand gently on his shoulder, she simply smiled, nodded, and
said, "You're welcome. Now how about we get something tasty to eat? I
don't know about you but I'm starving!"

T'aesh smiled a genuine smile, his eyes sparkling. "Yes ma'am. Now
the you have said something, my stomach is reminding me that it has
been empty since before the Hatching" he informed her. He held out
his arm toward the Weyrwoman. "May a new brownrider escort you?" he
asked his voice full of joy.

"I would be honored," Janani replied with a smile, taking his arm.
