"I'll have that ready for you in about a sevenday," V'con told the middle
aged greenrider. "Trust me, that neckline will flatter you, if it doesn't
get the men looking, well tell me and I'll let you know how much it can do
for you."

She smiled at the bluerider. "You're an outrageous flirt young man, but I
like it. Keep that up and you'll make someone a lovely weyrmate," was what
she said before leaving.

}: Get in there. If you don't I will be sure to place what remains of my
next meal in your bed.:{ Dawenth threatened. It had been the blue's
insistence that had brought him to V'con's weyr today. E'ril stood waiting
just outside the door and nodded to the greenrider as she exited.

He knocked lightly on the door and stepped through. "Good day, V'con. I hope
I'm not interrupting anything. I just had a bit of a favor to ask of you."

"Sure, come in," V'con gestured to the sofa, fabric spread over a corner.

E'ril took the offered seat and crossed his legs awkwardly. These sorts of
things always made him a little uncomfortable. He didn't mind the way he and
whenever he tried to change things up a bit he end up with some wherry
minded Weaver who wanted to "experiment" with new techniques and such. "I
was
wondering if I might be able to commision you to make me a new tunic for the
Hatching.
Ihave...been informed that mine is no longer acceptable."

}: No it is not. It is dingy and is too big.:{ Dawenth reminded him.

"Okay," V'con grabbed a slate and a stick of chalk. "What sort of thing were
you thinking of?" he asked as he began to sketch.

E'ril wrung his hands, "Well, that's just the thing. I really have no idea.
I prefer more neutral colors or dark ones but that's about it. I have no
idea
what sort of cut or trim or anything would suit me or my needs. Would you be
able
to make some suggestions?" Here was where things normally got sticky. He
would
ask for help and boy would he get it. The weaver would light up like a new
glow
and and start flinging out words and ideas he had no clue what they meant.

"How about this?" asked V'con after a moment or two. The slate was turned to
display a tunic that was in a popular cut. "I'd suggest a neutral colour,
with perhaps a splash of contrast coming from the threads used to hem it."

**Does this suit you? Your the one to impress apparently.** In his mind's
eye the blue surveyed the shirt. }:It's still a little dull. What else can
be
done?:{

E'ril rolled his eyes at his lifemate. "My blue seems to think it's lacking
a certain something. He wants something a little more elaborate. For my sake
though not too elaborate. Any other ideas?"

"We could go for a bright colour?" suggested V'con.

Immediately he shook his head. "No, no bright colors please. Sorry, it's
just they are definitely not my favorite thing." Then he thought about some
the of the
suggestions made to him before. "What if we did something with the texture
you know? _I_ liked the colored thread idea, even if Dawenth didn't care for
it." He
rolled his eyes at his blue. What did a dragon know about men's fashion
anyways?

}: Fine, I tried.:{ The blue chimed in dejectedly as he pretended to not
hear his rider. He would recover, or forget, soon enough.

"Or maybe we could flip the original idea - use a neutral thread, with the
fabric a colour you wouldn't normally wear?"

He visualized the tunic in his head and was pleased with the vision he saw
of himself. "I think that would work quite nicely. Maybe the fabric could be
lighter blue. It would offset Dawenth's own dark hide and I think he would
appreciate that since it was his idea that I come see you today."

V'con laughed, "Then I don't think we should disappoint him. I have some
cloth here," he reached for a swatch, "That might do."

The swatch provided was a light slate blue, a shade that E'ril thought would
offset Dawenth's dark teal hide very well. "I think it will. Thank you very
much for your help, V'con. Getting dressed up isn't one of my favorite
things."

"It depends on who you are dressing up for," V'con said with a grin. "Is
there someone that you want to notice you in that?"

"No, no there isn't at the moment. Maybe if I look particularly dashing in
this new tunic I'll find me a new someone at the party, hm?" He smiled
playfully
at the thought. The bluerider had been going through a bit of a dry spell
lately
and it was becoming tiresome. Before long though he would be too busy with
the new
weyrlings to indulge in a relationship but that was always the way of
things.

"Well I did see a new greenrider that transferred in a sevenday or so back.
Very cute, with a nice butt."

E'ril smirked and filed that tidbit away in his mind. "I'll keep an eye
peeled for it and whom ever it may belong to."

"You'll know when you see her. She has a dress that clings in all the right
places, if you know what I mean."

"One of your creations by any chance?" He asked wondering if maybe the man
had more selfish motives.

"Of course."

E'ril chuckled. "Of course. Well, V'con, I thank again for taking on my
little project. I have to be going though. Duty calls you know.

"It does indeed."

With that said E'ril stood to leave and made his way for the door. As he did
so he said, "So I'll check back in with you soon then. When you're ready for
me just have your people speak to my people." By this he of course meant
their lifemates.

"Cacholetyth will find them," V'con said in a jokey tone.

"Got it. I'll see you then, V'con. Clear skies and thanks," E'ril called as
he exited with wave. That had been much easier than he had anticipated.

}: And now you won't look so dull.:{
