Kwiksol was strolling down the Weyr's passage ways when a leggy brunette passed him by. He nearly turned on toe tip, twirling to get a better look at her as she continued to walk away. He followed after her, first slowly soaking in the details. Last of all he noted her knots. **Harper? I don't recognize her.**
"Journeywomen?" he finally said to get her attention. He wanted another look at her face.
"Yes?" she asked turning to face him.
Kwiksol didn't recognize her, one bit, but he wanted to. "You're, _not_ from the hall," he said slowly. "Are you a singer? Where did you earn those knots?"
Karaleigh noticed the knots on the young mans shoulder and frowned slightly. She should have expected this kind of behavior from the Hall Harpers. "No, I am _not_ a singer. I am a teacher," she said defensively. "And I am not from the Hall since women have not been allowed to apprentice there since before I was born. I earned my knots in the Weyrs."
"I'm sorry, my mistake," Kwiksol replied quickly. "I just assumed you may have a voice to match your appearance. And if you ask me, we're the ones missing out, not being allowed to have such, talented, people, just because of gender." He gestured as he spoke, emphasizing points. "But you're from the weyr, this weyr?" he asked, getting excited. A possible native, he liked meeting people formerly of Thayan Peak, since he had been a resident during his very first few years of life, even if he didn't remember it.
She rolled her eyes as his attempt to flirt. **They're coming from all sides now, aren't they!** "I'm from a cothold. I earned my knots at River Bluff Weyr."
"Oh, well," he replied with a shrug, but explained to keep her attention. "My father used to be here, well, Thayan Peak. I was too young to remember though, too bad? Funny ending up here through the hall though."
"Yes. I suppose it is rather ironic. I never thought I'd ever end up here either. I have a class to prepare for now..." she said as she made a turn to go.
Kwiksol rushed ahead to be side by side with her. "Meet me later, please? I'd really like to hear the resident harper's perspective on dolphin Cove?"
"There are a few other resident female harpers that have very nice singing voices. Perhaps they might be able to serve your needs better,"
she said as she used her long legs to quicken the pace a bit. Shards, now she not only had to worry about proddy riders, but a Hall full of crafters as well?
Kwiksol sighed, letting her go. **A bit prickly** he thought **Who poisoned such a fruit?** He set back off where he was heading. "She wouldn't even share her name." He said. But he was sure he could find it, if he asked around.
