Oria

Oria

N'mor was back on infirmary, this time have his scoring's healing process checked out. N'mor's instict told him it wasn't healing properly. He hoped the same greenrider-healer who had dressed up in first place would be on duty.

"Hello," said a friendly voice. Oria looked the young man over. "Come to get that dressing changed?"

"Hi. Yes," N'mor replied with almost shy smile.

"Let me check which Journeyman is seeing you," she went to look at the appointment book. "Ahh, it's Farlon, I'm shadowing him today, so I'll be sat in on the appointment unless you object to that."

"No, you're welcome to it," N'mor said.

"He shouldn't be too much longer," replied Oria with a smile. "How's your bronze doing?" she asked, changing the subject.

"Much better, thank you. He's already healed, unlike me. He lost only the top layer of his hide, what the dragonhealers called a minor scoring," N'mor replied.

"I guess in a turn or so you might not be able to tell anything happened."

"In a turn or so we probably have a much more scars," N'mor tried to make it a joke. It wasn't easy, when he felt like a blushing little boy.

"Not if the two of you are careful," she reminded him. This one looked so sharding young to be out there, flying in fall.

"We try," N'mor said.

"All any of us can do bronzerider."

"Yeah," N'mor grunted. He fidgeted nervously for a moment. She seemed like a nice person and he liked her. "Would you come for lunch with me? After I've had this checked first of course," he blurted out the question nervously and pointed the bandage around his arm.

She looked at him, he seemed so serious. But too young, at least she had a genuine reason to say no though, to turn him down gently. "I'm sorry, but I'm on duty here now until this evening. I'm afraid I don't have the time."

"Okay, some other time then perhaps," N'mor replied. Well, at least she hadn't laughed at him or said never.

"Maybe," she said. It wasn't a definite yes or no, enough not to upset the lad hopefully.

N'mor decided to settle for that, for now. It wasn't a promise but it wasn't straight out denial either.

Oria could see his face, but fortunately to save both of them from the conversation, the journeyman emerged. "Bronzerider, we're ready for you now."

"Right, see you later, Oria," N'mor said and followed the journeyman.
