Eleada groaned, and shoved at the heavy mass on her chest, trying not to choke on the feline hair clogging her nostrils -only to have her hand push right through the invisible mass she was feeling on her chest.

She dragged an eye open, and groaned again, a longer, more meaningful groan this time. Arieoss was not asleep on her again. Instead, the feline was looking terribly affronted in only the manner a feline can, from the end of her bed where she was wound around her ankles.

She let her head fall back to the furs, and slowly managed to convince herself to not only keep her eye open, but to slowly drag open the other one. There was light starting to filter into her bedroom from the weyr beyond, and sighed slowly.

A movement that soon became a cough as she realized the feline fur she'd thought she was choking on was partially real. She rolled into a ball, coughing and trying to disentangle herself from the furs that seemed to have absorbed every stray hair Arieoss had ever considered shedding.

Movement produced a whole new sensation. Headache. When she finally finished coughing and was breathing shallowly until she gained the willpower to drag her suddenly weary body out of bed, she added one more groan for good measure. She was sick. Great. She couldn't afford to be sick. She needed to work with the wings today on drills, and then after the hidework was done she had been planning on taking her boys to the beach to pick through the flotsam for treasures.

And of course, after that, she had been thinking of joining her brother's family for dinner, just because she hadn't in a while.

C'radan and Nesilly would understand. So would her mother, but Eleada wasn't sure she wanted to endure her mother nagging her about it later.

Drills however, were much harder to ignore.

Cautiously, she crept to the edge of the bed careful to keep her throbbing head in a level position. She had to do drills today, there was no way around it. The weyr needed every rider.

Arieoss protested as Eleada dragged herself out of bed, attempting and failing to recurl aorund her ankles before she could move. It took a few moments longer to get out than she'd intended, but in the end Arieoss hopped out of the bed to sit on the trunk at the end, watching her as she stumbled though the room.

She tripped over the edge of the mat beside her bed, and although she almost managed to catch her balance, gravity locked in again as she windmilled, and she found herself nose down on the rug.

**The first stop** she thought to herself grimly. **Will be the infirmary.**
