B'ram

B'ram

"Come on now, you've been working for like five minutes and you've barely got my legs covered," B'ram chuckled. "I think it would be faster if I buried _myself_ in the sand. What are you doing down there?"

"Enjoying myself." Eleada shot back with a grin, and dropped the handful of sand intended for his legs into his hair instead.

The brownrider closed his eyes to protect them from tiny grains, his face scrunching into a sarcastic smirk. "Thanks. Yeah, that helped. When you're done playing around I'm going to show you how this gets done right."

Eleada laughed."What's wrong with what I'm doing?" She asked, her eyes sparkling. She dumped another handful of sand on him, making sure this time that it was a respectable amount, just because she could.

"I'm just not sure you know what you're doing," B'ram laughed. "I would like to get this done before the tide comes in and I'd get washed out to sea."

"So I'm a chore now?" She raised an eyebrow, her face perfectly straight as she finished covering his legs and straddled him in order to start covering his torso. She leaned in close as she murmured, her eyes still sparkling wickedly. "Maybe I should let you get washed out to sea."

"Girifith would never forgive you," he grinned up at her as his hands rested lightly on her knees.

She chuckled. "Neither would Gliorith. It's one of the tragedies of being a dragonrider -you have more than one conscience." She arched an eyebrow as she patted some sand down on his stomach. "Besides, can't you swim?"

"Not with my legs buried and you sitting on me." Though he honestly didn't mind as he softly tickled her knees.

She yelped as he caught her behind the knees. "Ooo! Evil brownrider!"
She declared, laughing. "I'm going to have to bury those hands of yours!"

"Well, if you don't hurry up they may _really_ start wandering," he said with a suggestive wink. "You have a dirty mind." She told him, amused. "And if you're in that much of a hurry to be buried, I could ask Gliorith to do it."

He lifted his hands in surrender. "No, it's going to be hard enough burying _you_ in retaliation. I can't imagine trying to bury an entire dragon!"

She giggled, struck by the image of Gliorith's head poking out of a huge sand mound. "It would be hard, wouldn't it? And Gliorith is a lot smaller than Girifith. Imagine burying him!" She added some more sand to his stomach. She was almost to his ribs now.

"And then we'd have to _unbury_ them. Can you imagine?" It was a rather amusing picture. "The sand does feel good, though. Nice and warm, like a blanket. Or maybe like an egg. Perhaps I'll be ready to Hatch by the time you're finished."

"Hatch into what?" She demanded, patting the sand down. "A wherry? I don't think you're going to sprout wings. Or maybe a big tunnelsnake?"
She smiled again. Shards, she was enjoying this day!

"Or a bronze flit so I can be Impressed on you forever?" he suggested.
**We're just flirting, don't worry,** B'ram reminded his own lifemate when the brown tried to remind him he was already attached.

She smiled at the compliment, savoring the warm and giddy feeling the day was giving her, and on a whim leaned forward to kiss him on the nose. "Flatterer." She murmured before she pulled back and heaped more sand on him.

B'ram reached out for her hands as she patted the next layer down. "Come here," he murmured softly.

She paused, listening to the internal alarms going off that they were getting too intimate, and decided to ignore them for the moment. She leaned forward again, her hands still trapped as she whispered "Or what?"

He released one hand to reach out to wrap his fingers around the back of her neck and gently pulled her closer. "Or I can't kiss you."

She smiled softly and she leaned down again, letting her lips brush his in the lightest of kisses. Slowly, she tasted him, feeling the grains of sand that had adhered to his lips. Then she pulled back, lightly rubbing her nose across his as she looked into his warm green eyes. "Like that?"
She murmured.

"Maybe," he grinned, his lips still tingling from her touch. "Or maybe a little bit more... intimate?" Shards, he had been so patient. And it wasn't as if there was anything wrong with taking their time, but the desire to really kiss her had always been in the back of his mind.

"Mmm." She said, her eyes sparkling. "You mean..." She let her free hand wander up to his hairline as she kissed him again, this time letting some of the longing she felt suffuse her, bringing a gentle passion to the move. She held the kiss for a long moment, letting her free hand trail leisurely up his chest to his neck before she pulled away.
"...Like that?"

"Yeah," he whispered softly. "I was thinking something exactly like that." B'ram's only complaint would be it was over too soon. Her smile now was wider as she leaned down again. No pushing, no hints, nothing to make her feel threatened. He was letting her set the pace, and she liked that. "I think I can manage that again." She whispered just before their lips met.
