K'deren

K'deren

Drills came to an end for the day, and K'deren looked around at the wingriders. Since M'kel had transferred out, many of the wing duties had fallen to him. At least praising and encouraging the riders was a lot better than bawling them out.

Eleada and her green had done well.

**Donneth, please speak to Gliorith and ask her to have hers come and see me.**

}:Donneth says his wants to speak with you.:{ Gliorith told her rider. Eleada looked at her in apprehension. She liked K'deren, but since he'd taken over some of the Wingleader duties her usual wariness of authority had started applying to him. **Did we miss something today?**

}:No. Donneth says his is not upset.:{ Eleada shrugged, and slid to the ground, giving her green a familiar slap before striding up to the wingsecond.

"Ahhh Eleada," he said as she approached.

"Wingsecond." She said formally, giving him a nod. "You wanted to see me?"

"Yes I did," he acknowledged. "I wanted to congratulate you and Gliorith on your performance in that drill."

"Oh!" Eleada was startled, but pleased. Not everyone took time aside for praise. "Um, thank you. We tried our best." **He liked our work, Gliorith!**

K'deren believed that where praise was due, it should be given. "You two did well out there, especially with some of the more complicated turns."

She smiled. She knew the turns he was referring to. "Gliorith has always loved to fly, and she's small enough that she maneuvers well." She said demurely, but couldn't resist repeating Gliorith's mental comment. "She says she liked those turns, and some of the dive maneuvers. She says they were more interesting."

"That's good to know, tell me, how long ago was it you Impressed now?"

She raised an eyebrow. She wasn't a stripling, if that's what he was wondering. "Twelve turns. I Impressed here before I transferred."

"That shows."

Eleada blinked, wondering where this was going. "Thank you sir. We try our best." Thread certainly wasn't going to cut them any slack if they didn't!
She and Gliorith had the scars to prove it...

K'deren noted that fact. Since the current wingthird was injured, the wing was short of experienced riders and leadership. Eleada may just be a possibility, if she could be persuaded. But it would mean asking J'darin first, as there was no current wingleader. "It's been noted."

She wasn't entirely sure what K'deren was referring to when he said "noted," but decided not to ask. She was curious, but it wasn't always a good idea to indulge curiosity -especially when it could be taken the wrong way. "Thank you sir." She smiled, hoping that was the correct answer. "Is that all?"

"It is for the moment. Thanks for your time."

"Anytime." She replied automatically, and wandered back toward Gliorith.
He'd liked what they were doing! It was one of the first times she'd been praised since returning to Dolphin Cove, and the knowledge caused her to glow inside. **Yes!**
