Eleada spluttered, nearly choking on her klah as her mother watched in concern. She'd known Gliorith would be rising soon, but she hadn't expected the casual touch of her green's mind to show it would be _now_.
"Gotta... go. Gliorith..." She said thickly. Her mother nodded in understanding, waving her away. "Of course. Have fun, baby."

She raced out of the dining cavern and into the light drizzle outside, but her attention was on the sight of her glowing green winging across the weyrbowl and diving at the feeding pens with a snarl. Gliorith was projecting irritable hunger, but Eleada's firm command reached the pens as Gliorith bit into the neck of a herdbeast. She felt the blood running down her throat... felt the realization that it wasn't food she wanted...

Gliorith spat out the herdbeast, aware of the male eyes watching her every move. They wanted her. She stretched for a moment, teasing them.
She could feel their desire, but only one would win her -if he could catch her! She shrieked defiantly, leaping into the air with a slight stumble because of her stiff leg, but only noticing the glorious feeling of air over her wings as she dared her pursuers to catch her.

}: Gliorith's rising! :{ Rahmuth told his rider. Sh'dori could feel the browns increasing desire, and his own.

**Go, give her a chase and catch her! ** Sh'dori encouraged him when the brown joined the males around the green. When she launched off, Rahmuth followed without hesitation, trumpeting his own challenge.

Another brown chose to join the fray. Donneth bugled an impressive challenge to the slightly unfamiliar green. }:Mine!:{ echoed across the weyrbowl as he searched for the green. }:Mine!:{ K'deren had time to hand Deralie back to her foster mother, before heading out following the growing group of riders.

Challenges like that were unmistakable. A green was rising, and that was enough to encourage the young bronze. Naath called back to her, she would be a beautiful green prize for him and his. The sentiment was echoed back to his rider, who hurried down to try and spot the green's rider.

Another young bronze turned whirling eyes to his rider. }:I will chase!
She will be mine!:{ Menanth announced. The hesitation his rider felt was quickly being pushed aside by the rising lust. If they lost, he could find Dysali to spend his passion on. And if they won, well . . . **It will be good practice for when Lillyth rises again,** D'ren thought as he reached the growing circle of men and his dragon took to the sky.

}:Gliorith is rising!:{ Chaneth declared to L'pin. }:I chase!:{
**You chased twice last month, and won the month before!** L'pin complained mentally.

}:I wish to chase again.:{ was the blue's only answer.

L'pin sighed, stood up, and ran for the flight areas. He joined the other men in time to watch Chaneth leap for the sky. He felt the lust sweep over him, remembered briefly how recent discussions had made him remember how much he missed his weyrmates, and decided this chase was a good thing. He could lose himself in lust, at least.

B'ram mentally cheered Gliorith on as he joined the circle. It had been a while since he had won a mating flight, and when the brownrider recognized the prize he urged Girifith on even more. The brown needed very little encouragement as he watched the greenrider eyeing her suitors.

D'cal finally ran up to the circle. Thank Faranth he wasn't too late.
He was still dripping wet from the bathing pool he had been in when Aosorath had given the word that there was a beautiful green he intended to chase. The little blue was still very young and had not yet caught a green, he was undaunted and determined to keep trying. His rider eyed the other riders gathered around and his eyes met B'ram's for the briefest moment. No, he wouldn't think about him now. He pulled his eyes back to the woman in the center of the circle, the woman they would be competing over this time.

Eleada didn't see the men gathering around her. Her mind was flying high with Gliorith, completely abandoned to her green. Gliorith was enjoying herself, taunting the males behind her as she performed dizzying acrobatics, turning, diving, and soaring through the misting rain. She was pleased to see so many. She wasn't a prize for just _any_ dragon. They would have to prove they deserved her!

Rahmuth/Sh'dori was following her. Following her thru every twist, turn and dive.

Naath called to her. }:Be _MINE_!:{ he bellowed.

Menanth had the determination of youth, and the over eagerness as well. He struggled to stay near the front of the group, doing his best to follow the antics of the green. But at this pace, he would not last long.

Chaneth swept forward, spreading his wings and showing how they shined to her. He was a large blue, a strong blue, why would she not choose him? }:Choose me, lovely green!:{ he called, admiring her.

Gliorith was tiring. The acrobatics were liberating but exhausting, and the rain was getting heavier and harder to fly through. She dove, then turned into a steep climb that allowed her to see who still followed. They called to her, but only one was really close enough to even be considered.

Tucking her wings, Gliorith went into a spiral fall, dropping through the still-climbing males until she came within reach of the fine blue who called her. Snapping her wings open, she trumpeted an invitation that the blue wasted no time with as they fell toward the earth together.
