"Nice flying today," T'nom called out as his boots hit the ground. He
brushed some flakes from his shoulder before turning to pat Taldeth on
the hide. He begun unbuckling the straps around the dragon.

**How about a good long swim to wash up after today's Fall?** He told
the big dragon.

:}That would be refreshing.:{ Taldeth replied. **Okay, let me finish
up with a few things here and then we can fly out to the beach to
relax.**

"Thanks," C'rin called back as he plucked his helmet off, causing his
hair to stick up in all directions from sweat and being contained
beneath the helmet for so long.

T'nom looked to the brownrider and couldn't quite hide a snort of
amusement at his hair. "We were a good team today, C'rin." He added
with a smug grin and he clapped a hand onto the younger riders
shoulder. "I've promised Taldeth a bath. I could use one myself. You
and Dasveth are welcome to join us down by the beach. Taldeth enjoys
splashing around with other dragons."

"Water sounds good," C'rin agreed, peeling out of his riding jacket
and draping it over his shoulder. "I can't imagine going into the
bathing pools right now," just the thought of the steamy, humid air in
the bathing cavern made another bead of sweat trickle down his face.
The beach sounded nice and refreshing.

"Sounds good. I'll meet you on the north shore of the cove in a
quarter candlemark. Just enough time to drop off my gear and remove
Taldeth's saddle!" T'nom replied heading quickly to do just that.

It was even a bit sooner then he expected when T'nom and Taldeth
touched down on the soft sands of the beach. Taldeth glanced back and
with a quick nod from T'nom, the big bronze was off and headed into
the water. T'nom took his time before wading out into the shallows of
the refreshing ocean water.

C'rin's hair was still standing on end as he trotted down to the
water, Dasveth casting a large shadow over him as the brown glided
down to the water. "I felt sorry for anyone I passed on the way here
because I know the smell can't be great," he joked to the bronzerider
as he walked out into the water and began lathering up the sweetsand
in his hands.

T'nom chuckled. "It's the truth though. After wearing all those hides
and working with firestone, none of us smell so great. I'm always
thankful for a nice refreshing splash in the waters to wash away the
scent and also to relax after the intensity of of the fight."

The brownrider was quiet for a moment as he ducked beneath the waves
and scrubbed at his scalp. When he emerged his hair was slicked back
against his head. "Whew! That feels better," he shook his head,
sending a shower of water flying as his hair fluffed out a bit.

T'nom chuckled, but he understood exactly how C'rin felt. The water
had such a soothing effect.

"I thought today's drills went well. What did you think?" T'nom asked
the younger rider. "I'm thinking we could use a few more practices
until our nine really is in sync, though? I mean Taldeth and I have
experience, but we need to get to know everyone's flying in this wing
a bit more."

"Yeah," C'rin agreed. "If you want to get to know some of them better
out of the air, we do bonfires every other Restday down on the beach.
You should join us sometime."

"That would be good. I'd like to get to know the rest of the wing
better. I'd be happy to join you next Restday." T'nom replied. "You're
recently out of weyrlinghood right? When did you join the wing?"

"Dasveth and I graduated and joined the Wing almost one Turn ago."
C'rin admitted, he hadn't really thought about it but now that T'nom
mentioned it, their one Turn anniversary with the Wing would be
approaching within the next couple of sevendays.

"I must say, having watched your fly today that you both fly with an
experience far beyond a Turn in the wing," T'nom added. "Did you feel
that today's drills were in sync? I'm afraid Taldeth was a few strokes
ahead of the rest of the team. He's still adjusting to the change in
wing since our arrival."

"I didn't notice anything unusual, and I'm sure N'vanik or A'kades
would have said something if you were." C'rin assured the bronzerider.

"Thanks. I want to make sure we flowed with the wing on our first few
drills. I'm hoping to show N'vanik Taldeth's strength." T'nom very
much wanted to earn the respect of the Weyrleader now that he was
back. He knew N'vanik did not have to give him a second chance. T'nom
wanted to prove he deserved it and would add much to the wing.

C'rin finished scrubbing his shoulders and chest. There was nothing
quite as refreshing as taking a bath in the ocean, he thought, even
though he would probably take another later that evening in the
bathing pools. "I'm sure you will," C'rin said as he took a few steps
in towards the shore. "Well, now that I don't smell as bad," he
grinned, "I'm going to head in for a bite to eat."

"Food sounds great," T'nom remarked, bending down to dunk his head
under the water and wash away the last remaining traces of Threadfall.
"I look forward to flying with you again tomorrow, C'rin. You really
did a great job today!"
