**Off, you. Go flirt with the bronzes.** Lanniya pulled off her straps
and waved at Anaeryth.
}: I do not flirt with them. They admire me. There is a difference.
I'm not a green.:{
Lanniya rolled her eyes and held back a laugh as Anaeryth preened, her
attention already caught by a nearby bronze. She paused,
recognizing this one. ** I wasn't expecting you here at all.**
Taldeth enjoyed the flattery, }: I've been here from time to
time. I was born here. We are home now. :{ He couldn't resist the
chance to spread his wings a bit to show off to the young gold.
T'nom chuckled, "Showing off again, my friend," he commented out loud
as he patted Taldeth's leg. **Go, have fun,** he added with a smile
and a chuckle. T'nom wasn't really paying a lot of attention and
nearly walked straight into Lanniya.
}: We are visiting. :{ Anaeryth settled back on her haunches as she
considered his display with pleasure. }: But my first eggs hatched
here. :{
Lanniya had to quickly step aside before she collided with the
bronzerider. "Whoa, there, T'nom." She offered a bright smile.
"Don't run over me."
He pulled up fast at her words. Turning, he paused, "Lanniya? What are
you doing here?" He was truly surprised to see the young goldrider
from Dragonsfall. He hadn't had many _personal_ dealings with her back
there, but they had interacted in brief moments from time to time.
"I'm visiting. I come here as much as I'm able to see friends and
family." She tilted her head. "What are you doing here?"
"Oh, I guess you haven't heard. I transferred back here. This is where
Taldeth hatched and I first became a rider. I transferred to
Dragonsfall a few Turns ago as I needed a," he paused, considering his
words, "change of pace. But now, I felt it was time to come home.
Dolphin Cove has always felt like home to me."
"I hadn't heard. You're lucky," She sighed. "I loved living here, even
with K'ale at Dragonsfall. I miss it, so I really can't blame you much
for wanting to come back. How long have you been here?"
"This time? Just shy of a sevenday, actually. But I lived here for
many Turns before I Impressed Taldeth. I guess we never really crossed
paths _here_ before, but we were both _here_ at different times.
Funny, huh? We've both been in the same places a lot, but yet, I feel
that I don't really _know_ you. I mean, we've greeted each other, but
I think this might be the most we've talked, just us, since we met!"
He chuckled at that thought. He'd seldom been around Lanniya at
Dragonsfall when others weren't there as well. He reminded himself
that he _wasn't_ interested in a relationship _and_ she had a mate,
but it _never_ hurt to get in good with the goldriders.
"You don't know me." She agreed with a light laugh. "Honestly, I was
just saying to Saibra the other day that bronzeriders at Dragonsfall
don't seem too interested in any goldrider until her gold rises." She
didn't give him her own theory on the subject. "Believe me, Anaeryth
likes her attention, and she doesn't think she's getting as much as
she should at Dragonsfall, which is probably why she enjoys coming
here as much as I do." She grinned impishly. "I mean, it's not like
I'm unapproachable or scary."
He chuckled a bit, "No, you are definitely not unapproachable or
scary." T'nom found he was enjoying their conversation. He hadn't
spent as much time bantering around at Dragonsfall as he had felt for
so long he had to prove his path and clear his head of all that had
transpired before. It had been easier to just steer clear of certain
interactions. Somehow, though, being back here at Dolphin Cove made
him feel so comfortable that it was just easier to relax and try and
enjoy the people around him.
"Well, that's good to know. I hoped I wasn't. " Her grin widened and
she patted his arm companionably. "You do seem more relaxed though.
Before you were all stiff and formal. I'm glad to see you're not like
that _all_ the time." It had to be the cold, Lanniya decided.
Something about the cold seemed to stiffen bronzeriders in all the
wrong ways. "Come on, you can have a snack with me at the Dining
Hall." She tucked her arm in his. "I promise I won't bite."
"Um," T'nom wanted to decline at first, but he couldn't resist her
pleasant smile and welcoming attitude. Besides, it never hurt to spend
time with the goldriders.
