I have to say, I wasn't a big fan of NY style pizza... You pick it up and all the toppings fall of cause the crust is so floppy!  I'd take a nice big slice of deep dish pizza with all the fixings anyday :D

Yeah, we figured that out after a while, but it just wasn't the same.  I like my pizza with a nice strong, thick crust.  And without all the grease...

Man, I would kill for a deepdish pepperoni and pineapple pizza right now...

Oh man.  Now I want to go back to Jersey.  I miss the food!  I miss tailored ham and hard rolls, and the pizza from the little shop around the corner which I SWEAR takes off two years of your life with each bite.  God I miss that.  But if I left Maine I'd miss cookie dough ice cream thats more dough than ice cream, and Buffalo chicken salad from the restaurant down the road and, man I like food.

*sings* Nuts, whole hazel nuts! Cadbury's take them and they cover them with chocolate! But I can't eat it as it'd make me ill :(

  That is exactly the chocolate I was thinking about!!! You can get Cadbury in the US, but somehow it just isn't the same...

It isn't the same - I tried it.  Then I found out that it's somebody licensing the name and producing it locally.  And as the proportions of the ingredients in chocolate are different in the US (higher cocoa content here in Europe) it will taste very different.

Cadbury's isn't the same between the UK and New Zealand, either.  My youngest stepdaughter made us send chocolate to her from here when she was in the UK.

My greataunt lives in Liverpool and used to come over every Christmas and bring me gifts, usually of food. I miss Aero bars a lot, and those wonderful flaky bar things, and real Cadbury's.

At least I can get real wonderful loose English tea, though!

You know what I miss? It's not really foreign, cause it's Tex-mex, not real Mexican... but I miss GOOD breakfast tacos. I haven't had a decent breakfast taco since I left Austin, TX. I've tried various versions that various restaurants around me serve and they're all crap.

Then again... maybe Tex-mex counts as foreign food, coming from Texas and all... *G*

If it isn't made in New York, with great big bubbles of dough on the rim and enough grease dripping off it to lube all the cars in Manhatten then it is NOT real New York Pizza.

I've seen those pizza's on Friends - they're not pizza's!    They're raw pizza dough with toppings!

Give me a nice firm, crispy thin crust pizza with lovely fatty, greasy pepperoni all over it.... Like pizza hut used to make.... 64 pieces of pepperoni on one large thin crust pizza.  Now that's a pizza!

No folding necessary.....

And Mikel, don't get me started on your coffee.... *chuckles* and scampers off to bed.....
