Description: Ellianith rises
Location: River Bluff Weyr
Date: month 7, day 4 of Turn 7
Ciara was brushing her hair when she finally felt the rush of
Ellianith's rise flood over her. It had been coming on slowly for days
and she for one was relieved. "K'es," she called. But she knew she
didn't need to. Nikornath would have known almost as soon as she did.
"I'm going down," she called as she went through the door.
"Right behind you," called her weyrmate, even as he slipped on a pair of
shorts and a shirt.
It wasn't long before she was in the flight room with the gathering
riders. Her mind wasn't yet consumed with Ellianith's passion but soon
it would be and she would rise with her lifemate.
Zack dropped off his rider and went to join the other males. U'das
took his place. He wasn't all that keen on winning this flight. She
was already taken.
R'yin swallowed hard when Aerrath passed on the information that he
was chasing Ellianith.
His feelings had mellowed somewhat for Ciara over the last turn or so
and they'd learned to be friends. There had been a few other women -
briefly - but it was always hard when Elli rose. Aerrath loved the
green in much the same way his rider loved the green's rider. He
knew she was happy with K'sedel and he did not want anything to do
with causing her unhappiness - he loved her far too much for that sort
of reaction.
Still, he _wanted_ her.
**Catch her Aerrath!! Catch her!** He cheered his dragon on as he
stepped near the lovely greenrider that was the mother of his only
daughter. He left Fall behind, and the blue flit was happy to go
amuse himself.
K'lvin, still fairly new to River Bluff, didn't know who the rider was
at all, but that certainly did not deter his bronze Xmrenth in the
least. The male was quite happy to vie for hte attention of a lovely
green, and he proudly flared out his coppery, bronze wings, showcasing
his impressive wingspan and the muscle that Turns of experience had
built.
F'relen's blue Cuepath was almost overly eager. The young dragon tried
to strut alongside his elder peers, flashing indigo wings. The blue
decided that what he lacked in experience, he could certainly make up
for in showmanship! His rider, however, was not as certain. The
Weyrleader's weyrmate?
K'sedel was intimidating...The dark young man stepped into the
flightroom with uncertainty on his face.
K'mai smiled when Sebeth announced his intent. Ah, Ciara's green. He
wasn't intimidated in the least about her being K'sedel's weyrmate.
Flights were fun, and he enjoyed Ciara's company. In fact, he'd been
meaning to catch up with her. The bluerider's smile widened at the
double meaning of catch as he hurried to join the other riders.
L'ris and his brown as well young Im're and his blue joined the
growing number of chasers.
"She's a popular one," L'ris commented.
Between one heartbeat and the next Ellianith launched into the sky and
issued her challenge to all the males nearby. Her hide glowed with
health and her tail flirted at them as she darted into the clouds.
Cuepath darted after Ellianith, wasting no time in jostling the others
around him and using the advantage of his size to dart between the
larger dragons. He was young, he was strong and he was more than
worthy!
Zackariath launched himself after her. Although small for bronze, he
was still bigger than average brown and used his strenght to get a
push to the frontline.
Tyerth got caught in the rush of wings and fell behind voluntarily,
rather than get tangled up with someone. While Gormth used his small
size and agility weave around the larger dragons.
Aerrath launched after his old mate with strong speed for a brown. He
was spurred on by his rider's desire to win, and his own.
**Beautiful Elli.. remember our flights... I will fly you well!** He
promised as he soared after that flirting tail, crooning his desire
for her. He was not as fast as smaller blues, but maintained a
slight edge on the bronzes by virtue of his long familiarity with this
green. He chased her every time she rose, after all. And had for
turns.
R'yin swayed on the ground as he and Aerrath joined together. He
reached for the woman who had so haunted his heart for turns upon
turns, hungry to have her again.
Z'dir was in the middle of testing a new set of straps, and had to pull
them off his brown before they could get down there. Lesith was late
to take off, but his speed made up for it and soon he was high in the
sky, following after the shining green. He would have her! It had been
too long.
Z'dir rushed to the flightrooms and groaned inside when he spotted his
Wingleader and the Weyrleader both. With such prime bronzes, would
Ellianith even consider his brown?
Sebeth was fast, but also well experienced. He moved to get close to
the green but paced himself, conserving energy in case he need a burst
of speed later. }: You are so lovely. Let me fly you and you will know
great pleasure!:{
Ciara's body swayed while her mind flew, joined with her lifemate in
the skies. Ellianiths wings carried her out of reach of the lumbering
males. She was free with only the sky as her playground. She dodged
and wove through clouds and squealed at grasping blue, twisting at an
impossible angle to avoid his grasp. She wasn't ready to be caught
yet. Soon though... very soon.
Xmrenth let the green fly freely, after all, she was a glorious sight
in the air with the way she moved. No gold could move with such
agility, and it was one of the reasons he enjoyed green flights so
much. They weren't about stamina, but about the fast-paced passion
that made mating flights such an enjoyable event. The bronze flew just
behind her, waiting for the moment when she knew she could no longer
outrun the pack.
A blue had dashed for her, but been rebuffed. Lesith twisted to
avoid his competitor, then put on some effort to reach a height above
her. She was crafty and experienced, and beautiful. }:You are so fast
and agile, together we would be glorious!:{ On the ground, Z'dir
reached a hand out for her.
Aerrath shot after her, moving between dragons while watching the
green's aerobatics. She was so beautiful! His rider's burning
desire for the green's rider pushed him to his limits trying to keep
up with her. He crooned his appreciation as she darted away from a
grasping blue and showed his own strength with two powerful wingbeats
coming up underneath her as she came out of her latest maneuver.
}:You know I can fly you well! Come beautiful! let me prove it again! :{
Cuepath beat his young wings even faster, straining to keep up with the more
experienced males. Sheer determination to win this flight drove him. He was
good enough! He had to be! She beckoned to his senses, luring him with the
promise of a long fall.
}: Pick me, I'm young and strong! :{ Tyerth called out, pushing himself
forward as fast as his wings could take him. He wasn't as fast as blue but
he was stronger. Not a match to a bronze though.
Zackariath weaved his way to the leading edge of the chasers. Small for a
bronze, he still made blues look dwarfed, although some bigger browns were
larger than he was.
Gormth's strength was starting to fail. He made one last push before he was
too exhausted. It was a gamble, if it didn't work out, he would have to
drop out.
}:You know I can do for you what I do for the Weyr,:{ Nikornath assured
her. }:I am your only choice:{
}:You don't want a lumbering bronze. Choose me!:{ Sebeth darted forward.
Ellianith dodged the charging blue and twisted to avoid another as her
strength faded. But they were gaining and she had to pick or be
captured. A familiar hide gleamed with health below her so she swung
down into his reach. }:Claim me Aerrath:{
Ellianith came into view in front of him and Aerrath surged forward,
matching her speed. The strong brown caught her deftly, long practice with
this green in his attention. His triumph roared through the skies as he
slowed their descent enough to make the flight long and pleasurable for
both. :}My beauty!:{
On the ground, R'yin lost what little control he'd held to as Ciara's
sweetly familiar body - even after all these turns, he knew the feel of
her - came against his own. As always, the partners on the ground mirrored
their lifemates above and R'yin carried her gently but with fever in every
kiss and touch to the nearest bed. She was his again!
Nikornath bellowed his displeasure, even as Ellianith made her choice clear.
His rider stumbled off in the direction of their weyr, with the aim of
finding a large wineskin.
Lesith roared in disappointment as he spiraled off, planning on heading
back to the weyr. On the ground, Z'dir reached out, looking for one of the
hangers-on to lose himself in.
Ciara responded hungrily to the rider whose dragon had captured her
green. Their bond was firm and strong and she was swept away on the
tide of dragon lust.
