Bayadrin was sitting in the dinning cavern sipping from a cup of klah.
He glanced up and smiled as he saw one of those he had known once upon a time. He waved to her, trying to get her attention.

Seeing that movement out of the corner of her eye, Shayla looked over and saw him. Ah, was that Bayadrin? It must be. She smiled and began to weave her way through the crowd towards him. T'voal wouldn't get back until a bit later...she had time to chat. "How've you been, Bayadrin?"
she asked as she took the seat across from him. "It's been a while!"

"Can't complian. How have you been? And that lovely green of yours, how is she?" He smiled.

"I've been doing great. And Kiranth is doing just fine," Shayla replied, leaning forward on her elbows. "It seems like she just keeps on getting bigger."

}:I am almost grown. And Myarth says that I won't itch as much when the time comes.:{ Shayla hid a grin behind her glass of water. "How're your classes going?"

"They are well. Truly inlightening. Though I am getitng more excited for the hatching though."

She smiled at him. "I hope you'll Impress, Bayadrin."

"Me too. At least I don't have to worry about my father being dissapointed in me if I don't. He hasn't come to any of the previous hatchings."

"He doesn't approve of the Weyr?"

"He doesn't approve of me. He believes cooking is only for women. It angers him that I like to cook." He shook his head.

Shayla frowned slightly. "I'm sorry to hear that."

"It's alright. I have gotten used to it." He smiled softly.

"Mmm. Well, I'm sure you already know that no one here cares if you cook or not. Weyrfolk are fond of their food, and even fonder of the people who make it!" She gave him an encouraging grin.

"I'm sure." He chuckled.

}:Myarth says T'voal is looking for you, Shayla,:{ Kiranth suddenly announced.

**Oh. Okay. Tell him I'll be up in a few.** The greenrider gave the Candidate an apologetic look. "I'm sorry, Bayadrin. Kiranth is calling me." She rose. "It was nice seeing you again. I'll be rooting for you this Hatching!"

"Thank you." He smiled.
