Alivya shouldn't really have been outside, she should have been fast asleep in her bed, but the moons were out so brightly for a change and her parents were fast asleep, so she'd tiptoed away for a walk outside the hold. She inhaled deeply and exhaled, the air clean and fresh. Her skirts swished as she strolled down the track, tugging a blanket closer around her shoulders. She heard someone coming down the track from the opposite direction and froze.
Chupsin had been at the tavern again. Thanks to his friends, he had a good time and was now ready for his bed. As he walked down the path, it was clear he wasn't exactly walking straight, but he was on his feet, which said a lot. The healer kept chuckling at some remembered joke. Grunting, he stopped and leaned against a tree to relieve himself. Sighing, he didn't realize someone else was close by.
She was more than a little surprised to see him and assumed that he'd come from healing someone. He must be very dedicated to be up so late! It was obvious that he hadn't seen her or he probably would not have been watering the tree as he was. She'd seen _that_part of a male on her brothers of course, but never on a man. She blushed, swallowed deeply and then politely averted her face. Could she creep off without him seeing her there?
When he was done, he put his trousers back together, turned, and began walking back toward the Hold. In the light of the moon, he noticed someone there. First he wondered who it was. Then he wondered how long they'd been there. His eyesight wasn't the best at the moment, but he began to make out a feminine shape. **Ah shards** "You there, what are you doing walking alone at night for Faranth's sake?" That was definitely unsafe for a female of any sort.
He was right of course, but it was such a nice night.. "I... I was just... Looking at the moons.." she stammered. "I didn't know anyone else would be here." She took a half step back.
That voice-he knew that voice. **Who was it?** "Well the least I can do is walk you back. Shells.." He hated for a female to find him like this. This was so uncouth. Chupsin was at a serious disadvantage here. Annoyed at himself, he lurched forward, making as if to do some escorting, though it ended up like he was trying to grab her.
She let out a low cry of surprise but managed to side-step and grab his arm to stop him from falling, face-first onto the ground.
Using her as leverage, he did manage to get straight again, though he sighed at the futility of this arrangement. Somehow, as he was maneuvering though, he managed to bump into her. There was wine on his breath, but the rest of him was clean. She, however, smelled nice, and he went in for a whiff.
She gulped. She'd never been this close to a man that she wasn't related to before. Had she been less trusting, she might have moved away. But he was a healer, a man of knowledge, a person to be respected and held in esteem. So she stood her ground.
The smell on her skin was nice. He breathed it in deep, thinking he could almost taste it as his senses weren't exactly working correctly. Unable to help himself, he put his lips where his nose had been, kissing and licking her neck. It wouldn't do her any harm, after all, since it was just a kiss.
He was making her feel things she'd never felt before. Good feelings. Her knees felt weaker and she had to hold on tighter to his arm to stay upright. Her heart was pounding so hard it hurt.
Taking his time, he moved from her neck to her mouth. The wine was starting to wear off a bit and he wasn't quite as fuzzy. One of his hands travelled down to cup her right hipbone. It would be hard to get under the clothing since it was rather cold outside. As it was, they would need to get indoors soon.
It was darker now, the clouds moving back across the sky, but she didn't notice. The temperature had dropped but she didn't notice that either. She'd never been kissed before and it wasn't at all what she'd expected. She'd never thought it'd taste of wine or feel so soft.
Feeling the cold, the healer in him was thinking they needed to get in before they got sick. Old habits died hard and he pulled away, but continued to touch her to provide support. "It's cold as shells out here so we need to get inside." He made to escort her for several reasons. Of course if she came in with him, he could easily show her more if she was a curious soul but Chupsin didn't mention it.
Alivya just realized she was shivering. "Y...yes all...right. I hadn't meant to be out this long." She stayed close lest he needed her help to stay upright and walked carefully now that it was more difficult to see.
They finally reached the Hold and Chupsin made to go to his quarters. "I'm sure you can get to the cothold now, though I have warm klah if you want some."
Her mouth responded before her brain did. "Yes please, I am cold. Really, I didn't mean to be out that long." She probably sounded incredibly silly.
Once they reached his quarters, he poured the klah, offering her some before getting a mug for himself. Not for the first time, he was thankful for the heating system that kept the place warm. Chupsin had grown up with it, but he had travelled so much as a journeyman, he knew what it felt like not to have it. Drinking, he quietly considered Alivya. He could benefit from this, but he had to be very careful.
"Thank you, healer." She took the mug and warmed her hands. She wasn't sure where to sit, so she stayed standing.
"Alivya, what do you know about relations between a man and a woman?" He was curious, genuinely, since she seemed to always talk about her father.
She blushed. "No more than what I've heard my parents..." The cot was painfully small at times.
"Ah hm well." He thought about that then plunged on with the conversation he had decided he'd have. Chupsin was very singleminded and he wouldn't stop now. "Most agree that relations should only happen after marriage since they can produce children. However, there are ways to provide pleasure without consummating. Did you know that?"
Her hand unconsciously went to her neck where he'd kissed her. "No, I didn't." She wasn't sure she fully understood what he was asking her. "H... How?"
"May I show you then?" He would have her consent in this since he was not a barbarian by any means. Still, he couldn't help but think about what might be to come. "It's easier than explaining."
"I... All right." She was curious as to what he might mean.

He was heavy. That registered as her breathing started to slow. Still. She closed her legs a little, holding him there. There would never be another first time again. Then, when impulse started to give way to reality, she had a thought, **Oh shards, what have I done?**
"Will your father be looking for you?" he asked, consider she had been gone quite some time. Chupsin seriously didn't need her to get into trouble for one thing, when the second reason could easily be discovered.
"I...maybe. I should get back". She couldn't move until he got off her of course. She felt incredibly tired and just wanted a bath and the safety of her own bed.
Bringing himself up and off her, he crawled back to the edge of the bed just looking at her for a moment. She was young, supple, and he was just itching to bury himself in her again. Recognizing just how dangerous that was, he came crashing back to the present. Getting up, he disappeared for a bit into his medicinal store. He came back, handing her a packet. "Eat one of these everyday until they run out. Don't show them to anyone." They'd know immediately where she got them from and they'd both be fecked.
She took the packet and looked at it, guessing at its contents. She never thought she'd need it. But then, she never thought she'd be so foolish! "I will, healer Chupsin", she said, formal again. She rose and disappeared into the other room, where her clothes lay on the floor. As she dressed, she noticed blood on her leg. That was normal, wasn't it? She dressed hastily.
He watched her leave and scratched his face. How on Pern did he get himself into this? Sighing, he started to gather a towel and some things to bathe. Luckily, there was a pool nearby that they used for the invalid patients.
