Tavia

**Is Kalamath's here?** she asked as she scanned the stands. }:He is
not here yet:{ **Ok well just let me know when he comes please.**

There were still plenty of seats available and so she found a fairly
good one just on hope that she would see him sometime today. Maybe
this evening at the feast they would have a chance for a few words. Of
course she knew that as a Wingleader his time would be in demand so
she wouldn't be all that surprised if he didn't have a great deal of
time for her.

While U'kaiah diligently performed his duties, he also took his
relationships with the people important to him with equal seriousness.
As he stepped into the cavern, wearing his best Gather outfit in
Dragonfall colors with Cyan highlights to represent his home with pride,
he ran his fingers through his curling hair and scanned the crowd.
**Could you ask Sawauth if her rider has company for the Hatching?**
After their last meeting, the last thing on their minds had been making
plans for the Hatching, but he truly hoped she hadn't been spoken for.

}:Kalamath's asks if you have company for the hatching.:{ She could
hear the pleasure in Sawauth's voice. Her lovely green truly enjoyed
the attentions of the great bronze from Dragonsfall.  **Please let him
know where I am and that I have a seat for him if he'd like to join
me.** She was already on her feet straining to see him in the throng
of people pouring into the cavern.

Unfortunately, there were several people standing and looking around for
expected friends so it took a bit of hunting on his part before he could
find her.  Luckily the dragons were still dropping off guests by the
time he spotted her.  After a grin and a wave, he carefully stepped over
the other people in the row to get to her.  "Thanks for saving me a
seat," he said, bending to give her a quick kiss.  "Do you have plans
for the Feast?"

She smiled noting his gather finery. "You look very nice," she
murmured after he kissed her. She had only hoped to see him but she
hadn't made plans with anyone. "No I don't have any plans other than
just having a good time." Her new sea green gather dress was high
waisted to allow her some comfort as some of her clothing was
beginning to feel a little uncomfortable.

"Good, because I would look far more dashing and handsome and desirable
if I had a gorgeous woman on my arm tonight, and in that dress..."  His
eyes traveled over her body, appreciating her natural assets.  "I think
you'd do."

"Why thank you sir," she said bobbing a little curtsy. Her smiling
eyes noting the way his eyes lit on her cleavage so much more 'full'
since her pregnancy. She hugged herself mentally for that was exactly
the reaction she'd been looking for. The crowds around them began to
quiet as the candidates came in and she took her seat.

U'kaiah sat down beside her, hooking an arm around the back of her seat
to make himself comfortable.  His eyes had wondered from the Stands to
drift up to the smug face of N'vanik.  How he still managed win the
Senior Flights, Faranth only knew.  Maybe the new Queen just didn't know
any better he thought sourly before shifting his gaze to the new
Weyrwoman.  "Wow," he whispered, recognizing the face at once.  He had
known that Janani had transfered to Dolphin Cove and had slipped into
the coveted top spot, but until this moment it hadn't really registered.
A slight smile curled his lips.  She hadn't changed so much from those
days at Dragonsfall, and his eyes took her in, remembering days gone by
when he used to kiss those smiling lips and run his fingers over those
beautifully accentuated curves.  She certainly looked the part tonight!

She leaned her shoulder into his side very comfortable with him. She
saw one of her friends looking up at her with a thumbs up and she just
grinned. Then she caught sight of L'rak looking daggers at her from
the other side of the stands and just turned her head. She'd
successfully avoided him and intended to continue. As she turned back
she looked up at U'kaiah and followed his eyes. A smile slowly spread
across her face and she chuckled. "Janani told me you knew each
other," she said. "We can go talk to her after if you'd like."

He chuckled softly, pulling his eyes away from her.  "I'm surprised she
even remembers me."  It had been a long time, after all.

Tavia smiled up at him. Janani had spoken quite well of U'kaiah which
was a contrast to some of the naysayers she'd heard from. She looked
over her shoulder at Sawauth who from this distance looked like she
was wearing a little gold hat. Turning back to look at him again she
put her hand on his knee. "She does remember you, with some fondness I
think."

U'kaiah snorted, covering her hand with his.  His lips pursed slightly
as he tried to stop the grin that threatened to break out, thinking of
just what that 'fondness' was built on.  It quickly faded though as he
wondered just how much Tavia knew.  "What exactly has she said about
me?"

Tavia chuckled. "Why spoil the surprise?" she teased. "Oooh it's
starting," she added. Then she clapped. "A green first. She must
really want to get to hers." }:Like I did. She is Liddith.:{

"Sawauth was the first to hatch of her clutch." She grinned. She
watched the little blond girl carefully help her new lifemate off the
sands to where the assistants waited with the hatchlings first meal.
She shook her head and snorted. "Seems just like yesterday."

"Ummhmm," U'kaiah agreed, though he was only half listening.  His eyes
traveled back up to Janani's face and watched her lips spread into a
bright smile.  Memories of that beautiful mouth were coming back to him.
It seemed not many men at Dragonsfall could claim to have tasted those
sweet lips.  He felt rather smug that he had been one of the few, and
even more so that she seemed to remember him 'fondly'.

She looked back at him again and followed his gaze back once again on
Janani. She knew they'd been in the same Weyr for an extended period
and what bronzerider worth his salt wouldn't make a play for a lovely
goldrider. She grinned inwardly and rather wickedly. She just had to
get these two together. She turned her attention back to the hatching
again as the impressions began in earnest. "Bronze!" she clapped and
cheered with the others.

U'kaiah turned back towards the Sands, watching as the Impression was
made.  Was Kalamath ever that small?  Leaning closer to Tavia, he said
loud enough for her to hear above the crowd but soft enough to keep
their conversation intimate, "I'll tell you something you don't know.
My birth-name was Uzrakaiah, and all the time I was growing up, I was
sure one day I would be known as 'Weyrleader U'rak'."

"Uzrakaiah huh," She turned that one over in her mind. "We're going to
have to start thinking about names sometime in the future." Her hand
stroked her swelling abdomen.

"You mean before this one Hatches?" he grinned, covering her hand easily
with his as his fingers molded to her changing contours.  "What do you
think it is?  A gold or a bronze?"

She laughed "Too early to tell, it hasn't really started playing water
ball yet." She had thought about it and didn't really have a
preference either way. "You have a son so it would be nice to give you
a daughter, but I don't really care either way as long as it's
healthy. What do you want." Her eyes crinkled at the corners as she
watched his face.

"I want a child with my hair and my charms and your smile and your eyes."
The perfect blend of the two of them.  "We're making one incredible
baby in there, you know."

"Yes we are!" she replied squeezing his knee. "Gold or Bronze." Her
own admiration for the man who'd sired her child shone in her eyes. A
child with dark hair and green eyes would be very striking and if he
had U'kaiah's drive she knew he would be bronze someday. "I like your
vision."
