A'nye grinned at J'rey knowingly as he nodded towards N'mor. "He's
barely out of nappies, wouldn't you say?"

His fellow bronzerider shook his head with a mischievous smirk.
"They're getting younger and younger."

"I heard he's Hold-bred." A'nye looked at his friend out of the corner
of his eye. He knew J'rey would know exactly what he was thinking.

"It'd be too easy..." his companion said with a sigh, though the look he
shot back spoke of his definite approval.

His friend shrugged helplessly. "We'd be remiss not to give him a
proper welcome, J'rey. Don't you agree?"

He nodded in reply. "I know just who to ask, too."

A'nye motioned him to follow. "You're N'mor, right?" he asked as he
fell into step with the young bronzerider.

"Yes, I am, and you are?" N'mor replied, reconginizing his face as one
of his new wingmates. Unfortunately, having so many of them, he still
couldn't remember who was who.

They both smiled at him sweetly. "Fellow bronzeriders. I'm A'nye and
this lump of dung is J'rey."

"Well met, N'mor," the other nodded. "That bronze of yours is certainly
a handsome fellow!"

"Well met, both of you. He certainly is," N'mor smiled at the
compliment.

"I bet he really impresses the ladies, eh?" A'nye said giving N'mor's
shoulder a hard, though seemingly friendly slap on the shoulder
N'mor resisted the urge to rub his shoulder. "_He_ thinks so," he said,
his tone indicating that the ladies thought otherwise.

J'rey touched his arm a bit more gently. "N'mor, you _have_ taken
advantage of their attention at least a _little_, haven't you?" His
tone was full of concern for the younger bronzerider.

"Come on, J'rey, he's not a weyrling anymore. I'm sure he's been with
dozens of girls by now. Right, N'mor?" he asked, winking while giving
his ribs a playful stick with his elbow.

"Ehem," N'mor coughed uneasily and blushed. To be honest, he even
avoided the willing women who preyed on those whose dragons had lost a
Mating Flight.

"Wait, are you telling me you haven't been with a woman?" A'nye asked,
his face turning from friendly to almost suspicious. "You have _been_
with a woman, right?"

"Yes, I have. Once or twice..." N'mor answered hastily.
"Once or twice," the older bronzerider repeated with a shake of his
head. "There's nothing wrong down there, is there?" J'rey asked, his
eyes narrowing slightly.

"No, not at all. I'm just a late bloomer," N'mor's blush had reached his
ears too.

"No, of course there's nothing wrong," A'nye said, giving J'rey a gentle
push, as if to jump to N'mor's defense. "Now, N'mor, I have to ask you.
Do you want to _stay_ a late bloomer? Or do you want to see what being
a bronzerider's really all about?"

"Of course not I don't wan to stay as late bloomer," N 'mor hastily
replied. The whole discussion was making him squirm uneasily.

"Listen," J'rey said, putting a hand on N'mor's shoulder. "I know we
probably sound like we're judging you. But we're not, N'mor. It's
just... Well, you're one of us now. When you're in a wing, you have to
watch out for the others around you, you know? We're like brothers.
And we're all bronzeriders here. We know what it's like to be young,
and new to it all... We know what it's like to want to experience
things, but not knowing where to start. Am I right, A'nye?"

"Definitely. We're like your older brothers. We want to help you, like
others helped us." His face scrunched up thoughtfully. "J'rey, do you
think that greenrider friends of ours might be interested in helping
this boy feel a little more like a man?"

"I'm sure of it," J'rey nodded, giving N'mor's shoulder a squeeze.
"N'mor, brother to brother, has anyone ever... played your flute?"

"A what?" N'mor's puzzled expression told everything.

"You know," A'nye said nodding towards the boy's nether parts. "Has
anyone ever gotten on their knees for you."

N'mor still didn't get it. "I don't understand," He admitted.

"All right, has any woman ever..."

"Don't talk too loudly, A'nye," J'rey warned. "The boy's head is likely
to explode."

His friend nodded and leaned close to whisper exactly what he had meant.

N'mor's face turned if possible, even more red. "I didn't know," he
murmured.

"No bronzerider can call himself a real man until he's experienced it.
There are greenriders who live to wrap their lips around a bronzerider.
In fact..." A'nye looked at his friend. "I think J'rey knows a
greenrider who was admiring you just the other day, don't you."

His friend nodded an affirmative. "I do. I could arrange a little
meeting between you if you like. What do you say, N'mor? Do you want
to see what being a bronzerider's really all about?"

"Of course I do," N'mor said, half excited, half terrified. A tiny part
of his mind warned that he might be making a fool of himself, if that
was
just a prank from their behalf.

"Good, it's settled then." A'nye grinned, wrapping an arm around N'mor's
shoulder. "Now let's get us some drinks, and raise a glass to our
newest wingmate. We'll make a proper bronzerider out of you yet!"
