There is a first times for everything

Writers: Eimi, Paula
Date Posted: 24th March 2010

Characters: N'mor, A'tin
Description: N'mor's bronze catches s green for the first time...unfortunately the green has a male rider.
Location: Dolphin Cove Weyr
Date: month 8, day 8 of Turn 5
Notes: Notes: Mentioned G'len but not by name.

N'mor watched Ked among the blues that were gathering around Rising
green. Since the young bronze had started to chase, he had developed
quite an interest to it. The rate he chased, it would be only matter of
time, until he caught someone. N'mor just hoped it wouldn't be today.
The green had a male rider. And that was one aspect of Weyrlife N'mor
was still unfamiliar with and preferred it to that way. He felt like he
was in totally wrong place right now. The feeling suddenly disappeared
when the green launched to the air, Kedvencth and the blues after her.
It was replaced with the dragonlust, that was getting all too familiar to
N'mor. The boy lost all control of himself.

A'tin had only experienced a Flight once before. That had been a rather
unpleasant experience for him to say the least. He had been secretly
dreading this day, and yet when his lifemate bugled her challenge to her
chasers and leaped into the sky, he was filled with lust for the riders
gathering around him, reveling in their attention, flirting with them
and daring them to claim him.

Ked used all thing ways he could think of to catch the green's
attention, flattering her (well, that wasn't hard, she was slithe,
beautiful thing) and showing off his aerial skills and sheer brute
force.

The green for her part was doing her best to out maneuver the pack males
following her every move. She was faster and more agile than they were,
but also less experienced. It was this more than anything that let her
drop down straight in front of a chasing blue.

}: Not him, me! :{, with sudden spur of strenght, Kedvencth winged his
way in front of the blue and over the green. He dropped, his neck and
tail twining with hers. He spread his wings to keep them airborne.

The green was taken completely by surprise. She was on the defense
against the little blue and had completely missed the bronze all
together. But none of that mattered as she spread her wings wide to
slow their descent, giving in to him completely and with great
satisfaction in the winner. On the ground, her rider did the same,
surrendering himself completely to his lust for N'mor.

N'mor came around slowly. **Ked?** The dragon didn't reply, being
asleep, but even through the sleep, he was radiating smug satisfaction.

A'tin froze, feeling the man behind him beginning to stir. He had tried
to roll over into a more comfortable position, but he hurt. Shards, he
hurt, in places that no amount of adjusting could relieve. The hardest
to ignore was the knot in his stomach.

N'mor opened his eyes. It took his mind a few secods to register what
had happened. "Eww!", he jumped up.

The greenrider jumped, eyes wide as he turned quickly to face whoever
had just made that awful sound.

N'mor's eyes were wide with horror and he was wiping his body, like
trying to clean off some taint.

The greenrider couldn't help the tears the rose up into his eyes. He
knew what the boy thought of him, and every bit of disgust and loathing
he felt towards A'tin, the greenrider felt as well. It was his only
inheritance from his parents. He remembered all the times his father
had screamed at him as a young boy 'Be a man!'. But no words, no amount
of beatings could change the fact that his son was not like the other
masculine boys. He was such a terrible disappointment. His father had
practically thrown him onto the Search dragon, knowing exactly what
color his feminine son would Impress. He didn't even bother to show up
to the Hatching. Even now, as the tears dripped down his face, A'tin
could hear his father saying 'Stop crying now, you little girl, or I'll
_give_ you something to cry about!' It only brought out a sob as he
turned away and curled up into a ball.

N'mor suddenly realized he was not alone, and that he had just terribly
hurt someone. He was basically good-hearted and felt shame of his own
actions. Two emotions tore his insides: disgust, he had just slept with
a man and shame for hurting him.

"Umh, I'm sorry," he said with meek voice. "I didn't meant to.. I mean,
this is a first time for me."

He pulled a fur to cover his body.

A'tin felt the covers that rested on him being tugged slightly and in a
panic clung to them, terrified that the man might want to try to touch
him again as had happened in his first Flight. But he made no reply.
He just shook with sobs and fear.

"Shards," N'mor have no idea what to do. The other one was crying. He
wanted to flee, but that was not the right thing to do. "You all right?"
**What a stupid question, of course he isnt', he's crying.**
"Should I fetch healer or something?"

This was not what he had expected after winning a mating flight.

"No, I... I... don't want to... see... anyone," A'tin finally managed to
say despite choking on his tears.

"Erh," N'mor shifted uneasily from foot to foot. He just couldn't leave
him like this. He managed to locate his shirt and pulled it on. He felt
slightly less vunerable now.

The greenrider turned his head and saw N'mor pull his shirt over his
head. He assumed the man was disgusted and was trying to make a quick
escape. "Just get out of here."

"If you say so," N'mor said quietly. He really didn't feel comfortable
to leave him like this but he didn' know what to do. He should tell
about his condition to someone and the Weyrlingmaster's Third came to his
mind. Wasn't these situations why there was a greenrider as a Third in
Weyrling wing?

Why he just standing there staring at him like he was some kind of
freak? A'tin just couldn't take it any more. "Go!"

N'mor gathered rest of his clothes and fled the mating cot.
