Description: Shayla and T'voal have a little too much to drink during a dragon-poker party, and they end up in his weyr...
Location: River Bluff Weyr
Date: month 9, day 2 of Turn 3
T'voal was laughing as he dragged Shayla into his sleeping quarters, slamming the door behind them. "Shhhh... maybe if we stay quiet they won't realize we're gone!"
"Then _quit_ laughing so sharding loud!" she giggled, stumbling up against his side, her arms wrapping around his waist to steady herself. Shards! But it seemed as though the whole world was trembling! Or was it just the floor? Or maybe her legs? Who knew... Shaking her hair away from her eyes, she looked up at him, blinking.
The brownrider laughed and pulled her towards his bed, hoping he would make it without tripping. "You're laughing too!" he retorted.
"Yeah. But not as loud as _you_!" She grinned as she began nipping at the side of his neck.
He tumbled them both into the bed, his fingers finding her sides--tickling this time, instead of the slow, teasing careeses of earlier. "I bet I can change that..."
She squealed, her body twisting under his as his fingers teased her flesh mercilessly. "_T'voal_! Oh, you sharding-" a squeal "naughty-" another squeal "boy!" Her hands pushed at his shoulders. "_C'mon_," she moaned.
Having her writhing underneath him in his bed was a terrible, terrible danger. T'voal knew that with the tiny part of his mind that was still thinking clearly--though that same part of his mind assured him that they were both too drunk to get into trouble. Maybe...
When his hands finally stopped tormenting her, she raised her head and lightly bit his neck in retribution. "You're lucky I didn't kick you in the balls," she grumbled, but her eyes flickered with laughter when she looked into his face.
It was T'voal's turn to groan, and the fact that he was so tired that he was having problems keeping his eyes open didn't stop him from pulling Shayla more tightly against him, his fingers trailing up under her shirt and stroking her back.
Liking the way that felt very much, her own hands moved underneath his tunic, touching and caressing warm skin. "_You_ feel very nice," she told him before gently nibbling the side of his neck.
"I do..." He smiled at her and pushed her shirt up slowly, revealing skin along the way. "I bet I can feel even better..."
Shayla moaned softly. "I just bet you can. And me too..."
"Mmmm." T'voal rolled over slightly, his fingers slowing as he tossed her shirt to the side and let his follow. Maybe he could just close his eyes and hold her for a few moments, the room would stop spinning quite so much...

Shayla didn't know what woke her; the balmy air on her half-bared chest, or the fact that there was the weight of someone's _head_ there. She shifted, but found that the movement was impeded by a pair of legs. Her eyes flickered open and she blinked blearily, wincing as the sunlight momentarily blinded her.
Then she heard a snore.
Her eyes widening, she lifted her head a little to stare at a slumbering T'voal, half his body sprawled carelessly across hers. Half of his nearly _bare_ body. Shayla felt heat rise in her cheeks as she shifted slightly yet again.
T'voal grumbled sleepily, one arm tightening around her waist and his legs tangling with hers. For a moment it seemed he might wake up, but his breathing evened out again.
Shards...what should she _do_? And _how_, by the Egg, had they ended up like _this_? But they hadn't...had they? No. They couldn't have. She would have sharding remembered if they had! Right? Shards... They drank too much, didn't they? No wonder she couldn't remember. Shells. Shayla flushed as she moved her arm, her hand trailing up his flesh. And the color in her cheeks deepened even more when she realized it wasn't the sharding muscles of his back she was touching.
"Mmmm..." The brownrider opened one eye, peering up at her sleepily.
"Shayla?"
"T'voal." Shells, the look in his eyes was making her feel..._giddy_. Before she knew what she was doing, her fingers were in his hair, stroking it back from his brow. Her smile, though, was a little uncertain.
It took T'voal a few moments for his brain to catch up with his body. When it did, his other eye popped open in surprise. "Uhhm... well. This is unexpected."
She cleared her throat, nodding. "Mmm....yeah." Her hand stilled near the base of his neck, very aware of all the places their bodies touched.
T'voal cleared his throat. "Is your head feeling as foggy as mine?"
"If not more so!" she managed to grin, though she was blushing furiously. "Did...did we..."
"I... don't think so." From the way his head was hurting this morning, T'voal was fairly sure he hadn't been in any state to be doing much of _anything_ the night before... but he didn't think it necessary to tell Shayla that.
"I didn't think so either..." Shards, but this was embarrassing! She shifted slightly beneath him.
T'voal moved off her, pulling the blanket up quickly to avoid forcing Shayla to deal with the fact that he had no idea where his pants had ended up. "This is an important lesson for you on the dangers of drinking too much." Ignoring his aching head, he propped himself up on one elbow and smiled down at her. "Unfortunatly, it's only an important reminder for me."
"I didn't think you were one to get drunk a lot." Shayla pulled the blanket up a little further over her body before meeting his eyes.
Shells, but he was cute with his hair tumbled messily like that.
"Oh, not a lot..." T'voal let his fingers drift up to her forehead, pushing the long strands away from her face. "But enough to know that nothing good comes of it. Though perhaps that wasn't the case this time...
my head hurts and I'm not sure where we put my pants, but I can't say I mind waking up with you."
She blushed, leaning into his his caress. "I can't say I mind either..." She reached up, touching his cheek. "Though I wish our heads didn't ache so much."
"There's an easy solution for that, you know..." T'voal smiled down at her. "I may not have apprenticed, but every single person in my family is one sort of healer or another. I might be able to sweet talk my darling aunt into giving me something to take the edge off our headaches."
"_That_ is a good idea," she grinned. "I wonder what your darling aunt'll say when you ask her..." She giggled. "I can just picture her face..."
T'voal groaned. "Please. Her face is not what I want to be picturing right now, thank you..."
Shayla grinned, reaching up behind his neck, her earlier embarrassment momentarily forgotten. "I think I know how to get rid of that image..." She let her voice trail off as she gently brought his lips to hers.
He found that his head didn't hurt quite as badly as he'd thought. T'voal returned her kiss, sliding one hand up to sink into her hair.
Oh, this was very pleasant. Yes indeed. She didn't protest when their kiss deepened slightly, and her fingers curled tighter into his hair. The movement of his lips on hers felt so _good_...
"Shayla..." T'voal pulled back just far enough to look at her, his fingers going to her cheek again. "You should tell me to stop, because I don't want to."
This was it. Gaiya's advice was drifting through her thoughts as she gazed up into his eyes. And Shayla realized that she wanted to take the advice.
She was ready.
Blushing, she lightly brushed the tip of her nose against his. "I don't want you to stop," she whispered.
It was all he could do not to groan as a whole _world_ of possibilities opened up. Headache forgotten, he kissed her cheeks and her forehead lightly before meeting her eyes one last time. "Just promise to tell me if you change your mind... it's all right to change your mind..." He didn't wait for her to reply, leaning back in to kiss her with more than a little heat.
Oh, she doubted she'd change her mind. Her heart raced as she returned his kiss, shifting so that her arms could twine around his neck, the sheet slipping lower and lower from them as she did so.
T'voal didn't rush, taking his time as his kisses drifted down the line of her throat and across one shoulder, his fingers tracing lower. It was better than any of the dreams he'd had, for no dream had supplied the details--how soft the skin inside of her elbow was, or how she gasped his name and clutched at his shoulders as his lips explored her body.
More overpowering than anything was the possessiveness that he'd never felt before. He'd never been a woman's first lover before, but it was more than just knowing that he was the first. He wanted to be the only one to kiss the back of her knee, or the gentle curve of her hip... he wanted to be the only person she looked up at with those pleading eyes...
He wanted to wake up with her in the mornings.
_Every_ morning.
