Description: Zelle goes to the infirmary and Jozia treats her.

Zelle strolled into the infirmary, gave her name and was pointed over to a chair where she sat down and waited. She couldn't help but peer at the spot on her arm. It had started out as a lumpy, an itchy lump to be sure, obviously some sort of insect bite. Yet, despite her leaving it alone no matter how much it itched, it had simply gotten bigger and then became quite red. There was a head upon it and the greenrider knew enough that there was pus beneath the skin and, mostly likely, an infection. So, to the healers she had gone to get something done about it.
Jozia walked over and smiled. "How can I help you my dear?" He pushed an errant strand of hair from his face.
"Ah." Zelle stood as the healer approached her and pushed up her sleeves to reveal the irritated area. "This seems to be getting infected, I fear."
"Well, let's take a look at it then." He smiled as he motioned for her to follow him into one of the rooms set aside for privacy. "If you'll have a seat will see what we have."
"Sure." Zelle stayed on the heels of the healer and then took a seat upon the examination bench once back in the room. Once again she rolled up her sleeve so that the healer could get a better look.
Jozia looked at it closely. "Hmm, does it hurt? Is it tender? How long has it been there?"
"About a sevenday I think." Maybe a little less. Zelle couldn't quite remembered. "It was itchy at first, but now it's sore and yeah, a bit tender."
"It sounds like it may have gotten something in it or on it that irritated the bite. We can easily take care of it. We may have to drain the pus and thin spread some salve on it. That should help. It will be slightly sore for a few days. Keep putting the salve on it and keep it clean. Bandage it if you are going to do something that may get dirt in it." He carefully took out a thin needle, the salve and a few bandages. He then gentle rubbed some of the salve on it. It cooled it and numbed some of the pain.
"I've been trying to keep it cleaned." Zelle stated as she watched the healer spread the ointment over the spot. She was not generally squeamish and would watch him through the entire procedure. "But I guess it just wasn't enough this time."
"It happens sometimes. Even we Healers have had problems on occasion." He carefully used the needle to lance in and then gently squeezed it. Once he had all the pus cleaned out he rinsed the spot and dried it. He then gently spread more ointment on it and wrapped it in bandages. "There we go. That should do it. Here is the ointment. When it starts to hurt gently clean it and reapply the ointment. If you are going to be sitting at home in your weyr don't wrap it. Let the air at it. When you are doing anything. Like drills are anything that will get dirt in it , cover it. If it is not fully healed within the sevenday come see me again. If it fills with pus again come see me right away." He gave her a charming smile. "Anything else?"
Zelle hadn't even flinched at the needle and had watched the entire procedure, quick as it was. She shook her head and let her sleeve fall back over the wound. "No, but thank you for your help."
"It's not a problem. just remember to keep it clean and covered when not in your weyr. It should heal fine. If it starts to get worse just come see me. I'm Jozia. Just ask them for me and they will find me." He smiled as he offered his hand to her and walked her out of the room.
