Characters: Zelle, Yarra
Description: Yarra meets Zelle after arriving at the Weyr.
Location: Dolphin Cove Weyr
Date: month 12, day 2 of Turn 4

His eyes widened the more he saw of the Weyr. He couldn't believe his luck that he had been posted to this wonderful location, but he had and he intended to make the most of it. He watched as a green dragon came in to land, the smallest of the dragons was still huge - as far as he was concerned, anyway. He noted the female rider as she slipped easily down the shoulder and landed lightly on the ground before her lifemate. He would never have thought growing up, out in the middle of nowhere, that he would end up at a Weyr. A Weyr! He shook his head in amazement, not realising he had actually been voicing most of his thoughts aloud, until he noticed the strange look to rider was giving him.

"Yes a Weyr, but if you keep talking out loud like that you're going wind up going to a mindhealer if you're not careful." Zelle grinned at the young man, eyes flashing with merriment as she regarded him. "I guess I don't have to ask if this is your first time."

"Oh, er, yes." he said a little flustered, "I guess I showed just how impressionable I am." he laughed, crossing to her and holding out his hand. "Journeyman Yarra, newly promoted healer. And you are?"

"Zelle, searchrider, lifemate to Rillith." She took his hand and clasped it firmly. "It'd be a shame for a healer to have to go to one of his own for mental treatment really. I suppose I shall have to keep this quiet for now."

"Shhh!" he glanced around, "Don't tell anyone, but _I'm_ the one they come to talk to about...._those_ type of problems." he stifled a laugh and tried to keep his face straight.

"Is that so?" Zelle took a step back and let her gaze wander over the man. "Could have fooled me."

"You don't believe I could be a healer? Or you don't believe I could be _that_ type of healer?"

"Either or." Zelle grinned. "But then, looks can be very deceiving."

"Hmmm... Indeed they can be." he didn't elaborate on his words, merely answered her smile with one of his own. "So, would you like to meet up later to discuss this further? I have to go and see the Headwoman to find my accommodations for the next Turn or more. Otherwise I would have liked to stay and debate with you."

"I would, but I do have some things to do." Zelle cocked her head in a vague direction - for him anyway. "I've a friend in the infirmary and I plan to go visit for a bit."

"Oh...so no later, then?" he asked, more than a little disappointed in her response. It would have been nice to have made a friend within moments of entering the Weyr, but if it wasn't to be...

"Well, you can always find me at dinner and we can chat." Zelle suggested. "I'll probably go around the nineteenth candlemark if you're interested."

"Oh, okay!" he brightened immediately, "I'll see you there then, Zelle, Searchrider, Lifemate to Rillith."

Zelle laughed at the eager expression that lit the young man's face. "Certainly. See you then."
