She curled closer to the warmth surrounding her, twining legs to his, waking slowly to sensation. Her hands drifted, exploring hardened muscles and curves, and after a moment, she was startled to realize that it was not D'ren's familiar body under her questing fingers. It was someone else.
But.. Lillyth...she had chosen Menanth, hadn't she?
}:Naath flew me. It was Naath. :{ Her dragon's odd answer disturbed her. Had she chosen Menanth, or not?
But Naath.. the half lidded blue eyes cleared. Naath meant.. I'lan.
"I'lan?" she said softly, questioningly.
"Dysali," he said softly. The touch of her fingers had woken him from a rather pleasant slumber. "Lillyth flew well."
Her fingers stilled as he awoke, and spoke. Her body, though, reacted completely opposite of -still-. "Oh.. I'lan..." lust colored her voice yet. "It was remarkable. She flew so very well. And so did we." She added the last shyly, unsure what else to say.
I'lan was different than someone she hardly knew. I'lan might -want- her to stay....
"I know," he rolled over onto his side to look at her. "Are you okay? I know you would have wanted this to be D'ren and Menanth."
She smiled up at him, leaning into his body. "I'm wonderful, I'lan. You should know better than to ask." Her smile turned a bit arch. "You had the teaching of me, after all." She paused a bit longer on the last statement.
Her voice dropped and her eyes. "D'ren is .. busy... Lillyth says. And yes, I want Menanth to fly Lillyth all the time, but he doesn't always win, for some reason. And this time... " She trailed off, her fingers reaching hesitantly for his bare chest.
"This time Lillyth chose someone else," he continued, understanding in his voice.
"She did, but I think I don't mind. You don't mind, do you, I'lan?" She pressed a kiss to a piece of skin she could reach. She would have to stay here... if she wanted to... D'ren wasn't going to be available for sometime to come.
"I," he shifted slightly to look at her, make sure she could see his face. "I don't mind at all."
She traced his face and lips with her fingers, then pressed her lips to his. "I'm glad.." she said quietly. "Is there.. somewhere ... you need to go, I'lan? Because, if not, I'd like to stay." And with those words, her heart tore. They had _promised_ to always come back to each other. But _he_ was breaking his promise. _He_ was. Didn't that mean she could too?
"There's nowhere I need to be right now," he assured her. "Stay with me for a bit, we won't do anything you don't want to do, it's up to us now."
Pain edged around her heart but it was drowned by the needs of her body. "Yes, its up to us." She pressed a kiss to his neck, asking for something, but she wasn't sure what...
She only knew that it was I'lan she kissed, and not D'ren.
And I'lan enjoyed that kiss, taking the time that dragonlust rarely allowed.
She responded in kind, murmuring softly against his lips. He felt so good, just what she needed. "I'lan.. make love to me... without the dragons, please.."
It was something that deep down he'd hoped she'd say. Dragonlust or not. Here he was with an attractive woman in his bed asking him to love her. He didn't answer her with words, hoping that a kiss would be enough, followed by a gentle caress.
It was enough. She was able to forget the rampant feeling of betrayal in her heart, more and more with each caress. She gave herself up to the sensations of celebrating flight lust with a mind instead of by rote driven by their dragons.
